Who loves Happy Endings? Cancelled (sad face)

So I was looking to support this show one last time and get the DVDs, but found out they released the 3rd season on DVR discs. Such disrespect by ABC :smh:

DVR disc? I'm wait for Netflix to put this on streaming.

Yup, not even official DVD discs, they put them on regular recordable DVR's you can buy at Staples or something. You can't even buy it in stores, you order it from Amazon and then they literally burns it on a DVR for you. Unreal. :smh:

I'm dead serious, he is not funny bruh. In fact he he wasn't a wayen he wouldn't even be on TV.
Just my opinion tho, I ain't throwin salt on the show, I liked happy endings.
yea no doubt we all have opinions I like him in this show.
him and Jane make the show for me personally.

He isn't all that funny on New Girl but he played Brad PERFECTLY!!! It's all about the role played and the cast chemistry. Just like Eliza is great as Jane but wasn't funny on Scrubs. Adam Pally is hilarious as Max but SUCKS on Mindy Project. All about the role.

agreed,
although Adam on mindy project is dang near the same person as he was, just straight up mindy project sucks. IMO
Mindy wasn't funny in the Office, shes not funny now.

Mindy is funny in Mindy Project but the show still SUCKS! She was god awful annoying on The Office. The only new show that lasted and is worth a damn these days is Bob's Burgers, sad days in TV programming.

I enjoy the Mindy project despite Mindy, black chick, Pally, British dude, cynical white dude are all fun enough characters.

New Girl is hilarious just cuz of Nick and Schmidt. Winston is on the rise. Adding Coach made it better.

winston wwas good the first 2 seasons. but theyre turning him into that typical, doesnt have a clue dumb questions and answers person..
i got in to a fewbshows this tv season.
Brooklyn nine nine is by far the funniest.
Dads is good also
still in for big bang, modern family how I met your mother.
I dropped 2 broke girls and mindy.
kind of like trophy wife. malin ackerman is sexy and its a good concept

The Goldbergs is the funniest new "classic" sitcom out

Brooklyn Nine Nine is the funniest cop sitcom to come out in years...

The rest of these sitcoms are trying to capitalize on the quirkeness of this generation, the writing has a time period and won't be around when all the twenty-somethings start having kids and families, the next generation of twenty somethings will have different jokes

Certain show formats have longevity, certain show formats have time limits. Seinfeld for example, that was funny because the jokes were timeless, Jerry Seinfeld was an expert in observational comedy and akward social norms...and the reality that most people just don't care...the apathy is what carried that show...these shows try to have a heart, you can only go so far with a show with heart that isn't about family...Community works because outside of their "family" they don't really have much remorse for how they harm those outside their group...even when they do, it goes wrong and they are left worse off for it...the formula

I rate shows/movies on two things, the concept and the execution

You need to have both for the show to be successful but execution will outlast concept I'm saying a B- gets over two seasons, B gets three+...B+ gets awards and a cult following.

ex. Walking Dead

Concept A+ - Were selling a show about zombies...that had to be an impossible sell

Execution C+ - the script was poor at times, the storylines were ok(a bit repetitive)...I didn't watch the whole series but I've watched around ten episodes and I just didn't think the writing was that great

ex Brooklyn Nine Nine

Concept B- - Classic Cop show

Execution A+ - Gay Captain, excellent characters, spot on jokes, story lines are interesting and different (not super great but well written)...one episode and I'm hooked

ex New Girl

Concept  B - Bunch of twenty somethings into a house, let's follow their lives

Execution B - Good Characters, story lines are ok, jokes are acceptable....watched about four episodes and I will watch more but...ehh...they focus to much on this generation (which is their target audience so it's allowed) I just don't see the longevity in this show

that seems fair right there.

which is why I don't see how a show like Happy Endings would end but not 2 broke girls, where I can literally say Kat Dennings lines before she does. (she still sexy doe!)
Community also, I'm a fan of community but it's fell off.

I think poppin Santa is the only other scene that can compare.

Penny has some good moments too. hiding the food on the ceiling faan loved that ep.

Scrubs is actually really funny and I used to always watch it.

She's only in the final season and that season is a lot different because they replaced some of the main cast that last year.

the last season of scrubs was terrible. honestly I dont even remember her on the last season

i love this show and was so sad to see it go

DWJ was great to me

maybe we can get a petition going and another network will pick it up like they did The Game

i can't watch New Girl

Zoey Dorshwhatever is annoying with that wide eye naive thing...

While still portraying that wholesome character she is no longer written as naive, still new and shy to some things but she rolls with the guys pretty seamlessly now.

Really wish they would put out a proper DVD set for the final season.

Not that DVD-R ******** Amazon is offering.

how can they have a show like community last past season 2 and this show is gone... smh

ABC and NBC got way different ideas of funny and limitations.

Also from what I've seen Happy Endings does not seem to have the same vocal fan base that Community or even New Girl has.
