It honestly disgusts me that our management claims we are "tapped out" of funds. Seriously?!? Its like we have had a printing press at AT&T Park over the past 3 years and could have printed any money we wanted. Look, I am thrilled with the success of the team over the past 3 years. Cant complain at all.

But moving forward, if we want to sustain the success, we need to keep improving. This offseason, we did NOT improve. But if you look at all the other NL competitors, they ALL got better. Nationals got better. Reds got better. Dodgers (although cant declare them competitors yet) got better. Phillies got better. But we did not.

I am not saying that we need to compete with the Dodgers and sign everyone we could. But Nick Swisher as our everyday left fielder would cost, what Torres' salary +6 Million? I am sorry but the way that we have been generating revenue the last 3 years, combined with some massive contracts expiring this offseason, there is no reason why we couldnt cant add a Nick Swisher type player.

We need some damn pop!

They didn't improve the club in 2011 and we know what happened.

Tim Lincecum returning back to form would be a huge improvement for the team.

I really hope Brandon Belt has a break out year and Crawford bats over .250.

See, I dont understand this in the slightest bit. So we are apparently "tapped out" as far as money for Free Agents. Then we give Andres Torres, a replacement level player, $2M. Then we offer Ichiro $7.5M. So why is it we havent offered Swisher a contract again? Surely he wont be getting much more than $9.5M a year right? He said he wants to play here. Sign him up!!!

I'd say he wants between 12-15. 3-4 years.

Can't believe I'm hearing this news regarding Swisher. We need to sign him and stop with this idea of platooning outfielders depending on a righty or lefty pitching for the opponent. He'll add much needed power from the bottom of the lineup.

Pagan, Scutaro, Sandoval, Posey, Pence, Swisher, Belt, and Crawford sounds like wonders but our front office is too damn cheap.

We're not signing Swisher, I'd bet on it.

Torres concludes the OF through FA. I saw it coming too...

That's also the first time I've seen anything about Ichiro...Who sourced it?

What Up brings up an interesting point - while we're printing money we still need money for Posey and perhaps Timmy depending on how he does...then Pence as well if he does well...

Timmy is a hard one cuz I couldn't ever picture him in any other uniform...I can't see the team not wanting to get something for him if they don't want to bring him back versus letting him walk.

I'm saying a mid season deal at the deadline. I feel even if he has a decent year the figure will still be too high. He's going to be kicking himself for not expecting the deal offered at the beginning of last season. Not to mention Posey need to be locked up, they have already said they are interested in signing Pence and guys like Crawford, Belt and Blanco will be due for raises.

Don't overlook the Giants.
