^ I was listening to Sportsphone last night and a caller suggested that the Jeff Francoeur pickup was a move that would follow a trade of Hunter Pence. If thats the case I'd say go for it.
 
I don't want to sell for pennies on the dollar- that's stupid.

I'd be fine w/ compensatory picks for Timmy/Pence instead.

Play younger kids.
 
I dont see why you assume that trading players like Pence, Scutaro, Romo or whoever would land us pennies on the dollar.  I think those guys have some pretty good value.

We're struggling and just signed Scutaro to what a 3 year deal? Without us paying signficantly most the salary, what's the point?

Pence, perhaps would have some value, yes...but I'm just as apt to let him walk and QO him to get a compensatory pick too if there's no GOOD deal.

With as bad as we've playing, we have no leverage in deal talk
 
Totally hear you bro.  We are playing horrible as a collective unit.  Doesn't mean certain pieces arent doing their jobs.  I know Scutaro is overpaid, but he is still a damn good player.  A competing team that isnt extremely money conscious might be willing to add him.  Especially if they have a hole at 2nd base.  Its too bad the A's dont spend money.  He would be a perfect fit there IMO.
 
And calling me Sabes doesnt make sense.  Since when does Sabean trade his veteran guys for prospects?

I'd hope we could keep Romo. Pence, Scutaro, and Lincecum if a decent deal is there should be shopped.
