Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

Timmy with a no hitter for 5 innings.  Then taken out because of his high pitch counts.  SMH.

I too was at the game.. So surprised how almost every seat was filled on a 12:45 wed game .. I hate how Bochy was so conservative with Timmy he had it going with a no hitter and the crowd was starting to electrify and what does he do pull him out the damn game... He easily could have done it with a 140 pitch count

You want him to throw 140 pitches, in a game that was all but over, in late May?

Brilliant.

Why not make history? Tim always wanted to do one in SF and came close so many times .. This one would've been the closest .. Would've been ugly but he would've got it done

They got the W and that's all that matters. Were going to need Timmy in Aug and Sept so why have stretch it out to get a no no

He was basically at 100 pitches through 5 and you think he would've only needed 140 to complete the game? Math doesn't add up there considering the inconsistent control he was displaying.

Also what history does he need to achieve? That he does it in San Francisco? He already has plenty of accolades.

You wanted to see history. We get it. Do the math 5/96 @19 pitches per inning he wasn't all of a sudden going to "dig deep and have that cut in half. Risk isn't worth the reward not to mention the blister.

Belt should be able to remove the splint next week after that I think its wait and see. Probably a couple weeks away from swinging a bat.

Any updates on Belt?
As much as I said that this injury was going to really hurt us, it hasn't.  Pablo and Pence have started raking since Belt went down.  Would be nice to get Belt back to strengthen the lineup, but we have been fine without him.

Morse!

Yes movement!
