No one is flaming Sabean. This all stemmed from the idea that we probably aren't going to be able to re-sign Pablo, in spite of the fact that we are printing money at AT&T....and that has a lot to do with money being spent poorly.Agreed for most part that money hasn't been spent wisely by Sabean over the last few years but this awkward moment when we just won the World Series last week and we're already on the topic of flaming Sabean

You can't really count that $7M though since it's in hindsight. That deal was signed back in 2007.
It was either pick up the $18M option or pay him $7M to go away which we all obviously know the easy choice there so there was no getting around that chunk of $$$ right there.
Yes, the Scutaro deal was horrible given how the return we got on it. Anyone know if Giants plan on keeping and using him for 2015? Super expensive backup infielder? Or is he pretty much done? IIRC, this coming 2015 is the last year of his 3 year deal?

For the record, I wasn't really counting Zeets when I responded to that post. I said $35M tied up in three useless players (Timmy, Pagan and Scutaro). I merely stated that it WASNT even counting Zito....which based on the reactions I shouldnt even have mentioned.

I see that the Dugout Store carries these, but do you know if Lids will have these also? Gave my 2010 hat to my dad and never bought a replacement :\... Despite the fact that they sold them everywhere in 2011

hit up marshall's. they already got some of the gear. i dont know if they are slightly "defective" but they looked good to me.

I am undecided on these. Its definitely personal preference, but I only like to wear MLB hats that are actually hats worn in games. I have the all black World Series patch hat. Still unsure if I will buy these in the pic or not.

I remember him saying he was gonna take a year off after the end of the 2013 season. Not surprised he's making a comeback, wish him the best of luck. But I don't want to see him in a Giants uni again, I don't think Sabean would either.

Can already picture Zito not making any roster out of Spring Training and Giants get hit with some injuries around June/July and Sabean brings him back for a few spot starts :x
