ive been a few times.

it kinda depends what your goals are. if you're there for autographs, be prepared to stand in lines most of the day.

but if you're not there for autographs, you can chill on the field, watch a ton of the interviews and whatnot.

theres usually a ton of people there. but it got kinda played out for me, didnt decide to go this year.
 
What upsets me the most about the Padres signing of James Shields is that for the amount of money that we are paying Vogelsong and Peavy, we could have had Shields.  SMFH.

Overall, this offseason was tragic.  

This team is worse than last year and they'll spoon feed us the logic that we're getting key players back from injury. 
 
This lineup is going to have a hard time driving in runs. Posey and Pence are streaky and there is not much else after.

I can see a lot of games being over quickly due to lack of pitching and no threat to come back from a deficit.
 
well before Pagan gets hurt again, we need to utilize his speed. Then when Blanco plays everyday, he can bunt for singles for all I care but when he's on base, need to run.

I agree we won't have power, so we have to play small ball
 
Dang Padres made a bunch of moves. Hope the trend continues that you cant buy your way to the World Series let alone playoffs.
 
This offseason was just unfortunate for us.

Panda wanted a new opportunity in BOS, nothing much we could do unless it was grossly overpay.

Lester wanted to be the man in CHI, and we were willing to overpay.

If Shields price was 4/75 when we were looking at him, we would have had him. We couldn't keep waiting around, we had to fill out the rotation. Shields ended up getting at least $30M less than they tried to get him.

Agreed. I went to Fan Fest to simply take in the event. Didn't really want to stand in line to get an autograph, but to be on the field and to see the Giants locker room and dugout was very neat.

So is there a drastic difference from the Clima-cool jerseys to the on-field jerseys? I was thinking of buying the $89.99 alternate jersey and buying the patches seperately.

As long as we keep stacking up the hardware i don't care what we do. hell, we can bring back jose cruz jr, armando benitez and edgardo alfonzo for all i care. as long as the parades down market in october continue i'm good.

I've never been to fanfest but have friends that went. Seems like as long as you get there a couple hours before the event you'll be able to get a couple autos and have the rest of the day to do the other stuff.
Think my friends got there around 7 and got to meet Crawford, Panik, and Bochy.
