Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

How is it all on Pagan? Romo gave up the hits to begin with so the blame starts there...

Being a lefty against romo means you can sit on the outside on the 2 seamer.... He's SOOOOOOOOOOO predictable and his stuff has fizzled. Pagan is at fault of course, but to blame it all on him is dumb. Romo should have a handful more blown saves than he does. Dude puts himself in deep trouble every single game.

Pagan with the bad angle, Hicks with the bad relay, but the reoccurring theme here is Romo. Boch's loyalty to his players has bit him in the *** as well with Romo.

Can't argue with Bochy and the love he has for his vets.

But I'm sorry the loss is on Pagan. He turned what SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SINGLE into what was ruled a HR which actually should have been a single and a three base error. We can agree to disagree. My stance will not change.

Whether Pagan took the correct angle or not to the ball the tieing run would of scored. The ball was slicing away from Pagan so he either takes a risky direct route(which he did and failed) or angles backwards to cut the ball off and with 2 outs the runner was going on contact so RIGHT THERE the blame should start with Romo for giving up back to back hits. Are we seriously going to ignore the trouble he's had securing games all season?

How's Hembree doing in the minors? Havent been following them much this year. Romo needs to take a seat because dude is a gas can.

You're not the only one who's noticed :smh:

He might be up with the league leaders for saves but just seems like every outing whether or not he converts; he gives up a run or two. These last couple games though :x

The back end of our rotation has been relatively sketchy so far and then when they actually pitch good enough to win, Romo gives it all away :smh:

Romo just doesn't have enough to keep hitters off balance. If you're a righty you can sit on a slider because you KNOW one will hang and if you're a lefty you can sit on a 2 seamer. Also, both pitches are so close in velocity that hitters don't have to worry about their timing and there's no "finisher" pitch. I really think the workload of being the closer has ruined this dudes arm especially when you consider his best and most thrown pitch is the most physically damaging to a pitcher's arm. Romo was at his best was when he was a ROOGY.

"I don't feel like I could have done much more there. I had two outs, one pitch away again ... and they found a way to stay alive. They got me again. What can I do?" - Gas Can

NOT what you want to hear from someone in that position. Really glad they didnt extend him put knowing Sabean, thats coming.

 "What can I do?"

Don't have the quote from Pagan but he might as well had said the same. He took 0 responsibility :rolleyes

I'm extremely paranoid that the Dodgers are going to rip off another comeback like last season so these losses that are adding up are not the business. I guess I'd rather drop a few here than in September though. I would like to win the west somewhat comfortably. At least a 5 game lead.

Anyone fill out all star ballots? Due to my integrity I'm finding it hard to vote Buster. Hopefully he heats up because Jonathon Lucroy has been far and away the best catcher in the NL so far.

wow that might be the greatest fan caught homerun ive ever seen. dude was super nonchalant with the barehanded snag and the baby in the other hand.

Damn just realized that Sanchez pinch hit for Buster on that homer.

I'm getting more concerned with Buster as the season goes on.

He hasn't looked right so far and has been taking a fair bit of damage already.

It's time for roster moves. Can't rely on guys like Hicks/Kontos any longer to provide anything of substance. Hembree and Panik need to be up.
