Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

I don't want to put a damper on our performance right now, but wtf has happened to the Cardinals? They lost 2 out of 3 to the Dodgers and the brewers are beginning to pull away in the central. This isn't the Cardinal team I'm accustomed to.

letting go of Beltran was a bad move for this season but imo next year youll see more of their calls like Taveres make a bigger impact

Found this on twitter...

If you take away the worst game from each:
Hudson: 2.10 ERA
Bumgarner: 2.63 ERA
Lincecum: 3.49 ERA
Vogey: 3.51 ERA
Cain: 3.82 ERA

Timmy's last 2 starts

17.0 IP 4 H 3BB 19Ks

:wow:

12ks in the last 2 starts. you're counting the wrong no-hitter.

also, the low number of walks and tempered strike out rate has him at a 13-14 pitch per inning rate in the last 2 starts. hope this is the new lincecum we'll be seeing the rest of the season, as far as his efficiency.

they got outclassed by wainwright tonight. good to see vogey pitch well, i think madbum will care take of biz tomorrow.

I'd like this lineup for the time being:

Pence
Panik
Belt
Posey
Panda
Morse
Colvin
Crawford

Like what I've seen in Panik up there, works counts. The AB against Waino in the 8th I think it was, was very impressive. Might have to gamble with outfield defense, throw Pence in center, Morse stays in left, Colvin in right? Blanco by default might have to start in center, but move him to 8-hole, Craw hits 7th, remove Colvin. Seriously doubt we see Pagan for another month, gotta get him right before he returns.

Pence plays right so well but we can't keep running out Blanco and expect much production. So maybe Center is a possibility.

2B and/or CF need to be addressed ASAP

2-8 homestand :smh:

What are you laughing at? Team with highest payroll can't even take advantage and run away with the west

He's a Nats fan... 1 winning season to show from the last 10? leave him be.

As far as the attitude of the Dodgers being in 2nd and having the highest payroll, sure they do but we are still playing like ****. One has nothing to do with the other. The Dodger could run away with the division if we don't get healthy soon and some minor changes aren't made. When you have won the World Series twice in the last 4 years like we have you can't really play the "they have the higher payroll card" the team doesn't and neither should the fans.

I forgot he's a Nats fan  that sucks

My point is that everybody had LA winning by 15+ before the season. Belt returns tomorrow so I'm optimistic

It ain't right to single out Blanco. This entire team is playing terrible. The worst part is that they played so good in the beginning of the season and it's just something that they can't do regularly.
