Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

“@CSNBaggs: Giants signed Santiago Casilla to a three-year deal.”

“@CSNBaggs: Correction: Giants buying out TWO free-agent years for Casilla, plus have club control over a third with the option.”

Having the old Lincecum and Pence actually hitting like a major leaguer = our FA additions.

I've come to terms with it.

Where do you guys think Wilson ends up?

If Lincecum has another subpar season, do ya'll think the Giants let him explore the FA market?  Or will he be traded?

I could see Wilson going to the Tigers, Mets, Braves or Blue Jays.

I'd think a trade. Probably hoping an AL team may show interest.

How much did we overpay Casilla?

Gave Casilla 3/$15M

I think this officially marks the end of Brian Wilson's career in SF. And LB, you cant trade free agents.

I'm saying a mid season deal at the deadline. I feel even if he has a decent year the figure will still be too high. He's going to be kicking himself for not expecting the deal offered at the beginning of last season. Not to mention Posey need to be locked up, they have already said they are interested in signing Pence and guys like Crawford, Belt and Blanco will be due for raises.

Sergio Romo arrested in Las Vegas

Giants closer Sergio Romo was arrested on New Year's day at the Las Vegas airport, according to a report which the Giants have confirmed to CSNBayArea.com.

TMZ first reported the story Thursday.

Law enforcement told TMZ Romo became 'angry and aggressive' after he wasn't able to provide officials proper identification to get through security.

Officials also told TMZ Romo was taken to the police station at the Las Vegas airport, where he was cited for violating airport rules. He was then escorted off the airport grounds. TMZ also reported officials said Romo appeared to be under the influence.

Oh Las Vegas.

TSA is supposed to protect us from terrorists, right? So how come these idiots waste time by screening celebrities, pro athletes, and grade school kids?
