Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

^I don't think you can do "nothing." There is a gaping hole in LF which the Giants need to fill. Torres is done, Blanco was probably tendered a contract because they don't have anyone to start there. I'm hoping someone in their farm will step up this Spring and be put on the roster...Really bummed that Gary Brown didn't pan out the way many people hoped for.

Well Francisco Peguero was supposed to be the guy with Gary Brown also but he didn't pan out either. Any updates on Joe Panik or any of our other farm guys for that matter?

Baggarly reporting Giants are negotiating with Jeff Baker to platoon with Gregor in left field. He's got some solid numbers vs left handed pitching with a career stat-line of .522 slugging and .298 ba.

now other people reporting no negotiating going on.

Am I the only one that dislikes the fact the Giants signed Scutaro to that contract?

I don't remember anyone being thrilled about the Scutaro contract. But at the same time none of us were surprised at what he was given. Year after year Sabean outbids himself on guys that other teams show only slight interest in.

I think Dland wanted to blow his house up or something.

Pagan
Scutaro
in-shape Pablo
Posey
Pence
Belt
Morse
Crawford

That's a solid lineup with in-shape Pablo. Everyone stays healthy, starting pitching gets back on track and we're in this thang bruh. :pimp:

I really don't think Blanco is a better overall player personally...he's certainly not an everyday player. I like the Morse signing - very low risk and has pop.

I like the signing of Morse. Hopefully he's completely healed from his wrist injury that hampered his season last year.

That is true but it's just a thread! If y'all decide to use the 1 I started cool, if not it's not that serious. I'm happy baseball is back :pimp:
