New York Undercover Appreciation

They are airing back to back episodes on BET right now (not sure if they're doing a marathon or what). Being from TO, I loved watching the fashion and trends from the show. NYU was very influential for me personally. Plus it coincided with the golden era of east coast hip hop. The show is very appreciated.

Was going to make this thread. Seasons 1-3 were great. Up there with any other cop drama made for basic TV. After Eddie's death during the Season 3 finale, the show took a huge nose dive. They stripped it of its identity and it became your generic cop show.

Its not a marathon, they're just showing the Danny Up saga.

Very good show. We used to joke about Malik Yobas crusty *** lips on every episode. ill never forget the moment he slammed his kid against the wall and his hammerhead put a dent in it lol. torres' death pretty much killed the show. macnamara i could deal with, but not eddie.

Used to love this show as a 4yr old mostly for Det. Moreno. Still looking good on Dexter too

 I remember that. He was like I'm going to bed. There is not bed slam him against that wall I was rolling.

This is one of the best shows of all-time to me!!! Loved the theme song too lol. Good looks on the reruns, may have to go check it out before th e power goes...

Also been watching Arrested Development over again and I still love how "Ice" ended up on this random *** show.

Great show, great guest appearances, great music. Reminds me of high school.

Why this never released to DVD I don't know.

Too expensive to release on DVD with all of the music clearances. Same reason Bernie Mac Show never got more than Season 1 on DVD.

Word...100% :smh: It became the most bare bones predictable show after they killed Torres off. That was probably the first drama I had ever watched. And I was 7-11 years old watching it

The music, the characters, the style, everything was so good. Besides the overly baggy stuff, that was basically my wardrobe around that time

My favorite show of all time.

Real talk does anyone know where I can get my hands on all the episodes b/c it looks like it'll never be released on dvd :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

Hell I wouldn't mind paying for it, show was that dope!

It comes on centric every morning at 11. They had the best openings of any show I've seen. It was like a quick music video

when did they start airing this on BET?
LOVED this show growing up.
always enjoyed the musical performances at the end

i was gonna make this thread, too. lol

It's not on BET, it's on Centric (330 if you have DirectTV). There's actually an episode from '95 bout to come on is 15 minutes

Yo...I HATED Gee on this show  :smh: Dude was such a smart *** and would never listen to a damn thing.

*Gun shot*

JC: "Gee, stay right here in the car"

*next scene*

*Gee gets out of car*

*Gee nearly gets shot by JC*

Such a good show.. I don't understand why they killed Eddie off smh

Apparently Torres either wanted the same amount of money as Malik Yoba, or more. So they wrote him off.

you couldn't tell my pre-teen *** G wasn't the ****!

i just knew he would grow up to be just as fine but on My WIfe and Kids he had the same gap and big *** head and was not cute :x

show was great! it was so hip hop influenced as were all the black shows back then

Malik was on Wendy WIlliams last year and talked about bringing the show back and him being behind the scenes this time but it will more than likely be whack if it even happens...

image if it was hip hop influenced now...cops in skinny jeans and truck fit :x

It was aired on BET tonight.

One of my all-time favorite shows. I regularly watch all the episodes on Youtube, someone has all seasons uploaded. Some scenes though are clipped of audio because of the music used and WMG being *** holes.

great show and i remember  the hispanic dude was in the beat it video.
