Wait a ******* minute, Rian Johnson who directed the Fly episode and OZYMANDIAS is directing Star Wars 8???????????????????????? :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

**** YES!!! :pimp:

He just tweeted this

"@rianjohnson:

And people on Twitter are saying Abrams will still be involved with the trilogy. He'll be the new "George Lucas - the overlord behind the scenes"

Disney has been knocking every single ball out of the park man :smokin

George made this franchise, so he definitely deserves endless prips, but imagine if he sold the franchise before the prequels were made :x

The only thing that could've been handled better by them was the whole EU thing even though I think it had to be done. The lack of news after the initial announced was highly annoying too, but ever since the casting/EU announcement we been getting major news every week.

Is the clone wars that good of a show that I should watch since it pertains to this in a way?

I'd rather watch The Clone Wars than Star Wars Episodes 1,2 & 6. It's a great show. And a lot of it could be setting up the sequel trilogy.

Episodes possibly related to the saga/sequel trilogy

Season 2: Episodes 1, 2, 3, 12-14

Season 3: Episodes 12-17,

Season 4: Episodes 15-22

Season 5: Episodes 1, 14-20

Season 6: Episodes 1-4, 10-13

The entire series is honestly worth a watch tho. It's what the prequels should have been. You get to see the friendship that Obi-Wan and Anakin have, get to see why Anakin has such a reputation as a general in Episode 3,and you also see why he hates and distrusts the council so much. It also explains why the clones were so quick to turn on the Jedi.

The Last 4 episodes also give a whole new insight into Luke and Yoda. I'd start with those 4 honestly

I've always wondered why everyone hated Return of the Jedi and Phantom Menace. Other than the Ewoks, Return of the Jedi wasn't that bad. Phantom Menace was the first movie I ever saw in theaters so there's nostalgia, but while it had its flaws (jar jar binks, that annoying kid that played Anakin, midichlorians, Darth Maul's death.......wow this movie sucked. Never really thought about it actually. ROTJ was awesome though.

I didn't know a lot of people hated ROTJ. I've always liked it. Then again I don't visit any Star Wars forums or sites so I don't know which ones people hated or liked.

People don't hate RoTJ, but it's obviously the least liked of the Original Trilogy, and alot like ROTS more than it.

Luke vs. Vader in ROTJ is still probably my favorite scene in the OT.

The music and choir that comes in when Luke goes crazy after Vader finds out about Leia is :pimp:

I don't think ROTJ is hated.. but it's the third best in the trilogy.

I think the nostalgia and the PT definitely made ROTJ "better" than what it really is/was but that Luke/Vader final duel was just too great of a payoff to the OT.

It sucks to know what could've been had Spielberg been able to direct it :smh:

I actually think RTOJ is better than given credit for, just the tone was too different after the amazedness of Empire.

Jedi still had the Jabba fight (had heard of Jabba, but not seen to that point) Rancor, Boba Fett in action (which they botched) the space battle at the Death Star was better/more ships/action, Endor was great, til the Ewoks, and of course the Luke/Vader finale. They just lightened the tone up a bit too much and never let the stakes really look desperate as they could have. Darken that baby up and you would have had epic for days. Lucas just wanted to sell lunchboxes tho.

Botching Fett and the Ewoks is what really soured it for me, as an adult. But I can't fault them since ROTJ was my favorite one until I turned 16 or so.

The entire Endor sequence of RoTJ is just not that interesting for me. Right from the landing/speeder bike chase down to Leia telling Han she's Luke's sister.

And of course Fetts death should've been handled better :smh:

Every other part of the movie is awesome though

And Carrie Fishers assistant just tweeted this
"@imeanwhat: Loving my #StarWarsEpisodeVII girls: @carrieffisher, @ridley_daisy, #BillieLourd, #MaisieRichardsonSellers

So I guess that Maisie girl is in it? Wonder why they're keeping it so secret.

Man i dont get you guys love for boba fett.

As a kid watching star wars i never cared that boba fett died or how he died.

To me he never was more than just the bounty hunter taking han back to jabba

If you just never cared, I can respect that. But some of the reasons I like him are, first and foremost, he's just a really cool looking character. Also, as a big fan of Clint Eastwood Western's, to know that he was the SW-Universe equivalent to him made me more of a fan. Then, there's all of the EU stuff he was in added more depth to his character. His ESB setup was perfect as he was mysterious and was the only dude ever to really talk to Vader the way he did.

It just sucks all that was negated by ROTJ and AotC :smh: I was excited to see his story get more developed in TCW but his last appearance was of him getting chumped, so double :smh: :smh:

The Star Wars 1313 game seemed like it was ready to show how he got bad-*** in ESB but I guess we'll just have to wait for his solo movie for that, unless he makes an appearance in rebels.

Exactly.

The way Vader spoke to him too, like Vader knew that dude was to be feared. You damn straight knew he was a bad *** character.

How they off'ed him in the movie was pathetic. Han Solo showing the same thing, nervous about where Boba Fett is, all scared, worried, and bumps him into the Sarlacc. :smh:

Should have let Luke take him on.

I won't even speak on making him an 8 year old boy in the prequels. **** you Lucas.

The EU tho.............maaaaaaaaaaaaaan, the EU Boba Fett. God damn. That kinda ****, needs to get on a big screen in our lifetime. People will change their tunes on Boba if that stuff ever comes. Dude was a ninja Donald Trump.

Rumor that Ford's leg injury is more serious than expected and could possibly delay filming.
