Jurrasic World director will direct Star Wars IX

I have no idea if that's good or bad... having said that, I didn't think JW particularly amazing.

I think Jurassic World showed he could handle a big-budget blockbuster.. and Safety Not Guaranteed showed he could tell a good story too. I'm sure it's also in part they wanted to get a director on the rise, and he's one of them after the success of JW. Same with Rian Johnson, they both have smaller filmographies, but have shown they can do smaller/indie movies as well as blockbusters.
