SWTOR isn't pay to play y'all. It went free-to-play like three years ago. You get 'perks' if you're a sub but that's it. Amazon actually has a really good deal:

I highly suggest playing through each of the class storylines at least once. If I had to rank them:

It's an MMO so it feels completely different than KOTOR -- but it's definitely 100% Star Wars.

The voice acting and storylines are top notch.

Indeed, Imperial Agent storyline is the best. Both darkside and lightside IA are amazing. I like Sith Warrior storyline better than Trooper, Inquisitor and BH though. Smuggler storyline is really amusing. Operative, Sorcerer and Assassin are my favorite classes to play.

The most disappointing thing about that trailer is that the gameplay doesn't even come close. It is very misleading, awesome trailer but if you come to the game expecting the same thing then you are in for a gigantic disappointment.

I don't know what pay to play means, but I absolutely want that feel/vibe in a spin off immediately. That was incredible.

Like World of Warcraft. Pay a monthly subscription.

I'd be interested in playing this...If I had a PC that was capable of handling those graphics lol.

I am playing on PC.

I am not sure about Mac. I don't think SWTOR has one for Mac.

You can play it for free. Give it a try as a F2P aka Free to Play at first. You still get full storyline if you are a F2P anyway. It has about 13 servers total (7 or 8 US servers). You are allowed to create two characters per server as a F2P. For a beginner, start with a RP (Role Playing) server so you won't get ganked by other gamers.
