I've been on the fence about opening all my black series figures. Do you display yours? If so how do you do it? That would be my only concern as they are easier to display when still in that box.

I have some displayed on wall shelves that I bought at Target a couple of years ago.  The rest are on a bookshelf I have in my room.  They all stand pretty well on their own, although Han in Stormtrooper disguise falls over every now and then.

Try picking up an Detolf display case from Ikea. They can make things look cleaner with the right setup. That's what I use for my figures.

I'm always amazed at how Star Wars fans are on the money when it comes to things like this...:wow:

For about 20 years, I've been a die-hard SWfan and I've always thought Darth Vader and Boba Fett looked the same in every movie..then I met the 501st gang

My mind was blown that Vader looked different in every movie and there was actually nothing the same between ESB and ROTJ Boba Fett's. It's crazy oh much attention to detail they've nitpicked every costume. Even now, my tailor is telling me how intricate Kylo Ren's outfit is and I just thought it was black cloth

How much does it cost to get your costume made? Stormtrooper armor costs at least a rack if you don't have the patience and resources to DIY.

Yeah, it costs about that much just to get all the armor, and then when you have to get somebody to build, assemble, and paint, you're looking to add about another stack just for that. My last Boba Fett cost me about $2.5k and two years to build to complete specs and I was able to flip it for $6k cash to some guy. Dude just wore it, submitted for the 501st, got approved pretty quick and has enjoyed trooping ever since.

He never ended up taking the boots because he was a different size and then last year, I was visiting my parents house and saw that they were still just chillin' in their garage and it was a wrap. I started last summer and I'm just about done again, I just need his some shin tools and I'll submit for the 501st with this one.

Having spent all the time and energy on this though, I'm actually kinda nervous to actually wear it out because I know these get banged up pretty good during events which is why I started a Kylo Ren. He's pretty much just robes and I can deal with just having to worry about the helmet . While I wait for those two to finish up, I'm currently set to start as a "spotter" though. Which is basically a groupie. You get to go to all the events and get to go where the guys go. I figure it'd give me a chance to learn trooping etiquette since it really is a big deal with Disney/Lucas that no one acts in any way that may embarrass them. They really take that stuff seriously.

Definitely post pics if you decide to get it, ...So ...So It looks to be an amazing piece. I think another guy on the RPF boards was starting a similar run and you can get electronics and a blade added. Total would've ended up being almost $500, so I fell back and will gladly "settle" for this Force Fx one, for now

Two years? And 6K used? I imagine these guys have a lot of expendable income.

While people aren't rich per say, it's definitely a big investment with time/money. I think SW is a special franchise because on top of going that route, you can just cop this and call it a day, if you just want a display piece.

$8k and it still sold out though. Fans got deep pockets

WhiteArmor.net for Stormtrooper and TheDentedHelmet.com for all your Boba Fett needs :D

Don't hesitate to hit me up with any questions too, I'll be glad to help.

I hear you  ... Man its crazy but I appreciate the commitment of the fans and I know you do as well.

By the way, that picture of Kylo Ren's hilt is from fx-sabers forum site and are being made right now for purchase.  I'm really thinking about it....

cooke looks like she could pass for leia's daughter and maslany looks like she could pass for a relative of kylo ren so either of those girls would be great

not sure about gina rodriguez tho unless they just want to add more diversity in the series which im not against because star wars lacks latinos
