Being a adopted is a non-issue. How to respond to a girl you don't even know who just told you she is adopted is tricky (to me at least).

Took an L last night. After the club, she was staying to hang out with her rapper/poet friends at 2am and hugged me and hit me with the "hit me up sometime, definitely" and used car salesman smile like you get at the end of a job interview when they tell you they will keep in touch and you know they won't. Would've been a winner too, not even just a smash and dash. Hindsight, I remember every single thing I said and probably every time I said something that came off right and had her in her head like (ding, minus 10 points).
