Patrice O'Neal Appreciation Thread vol. one year

RIP Patrice. OnA appearances have been classics since his first appearance. Pick up the Mr. P comedy album. it's great!

to tell you the truth I never really was up on Patrice from the start of his rise, but these days after listening to the bill burr podcast and when norton mentions him on other podcasts and then the sheen roast, I have a general appreciation of what he was about.

Side story is that one of my uncles does maintenance for an apartment building in the city and he tells me one day that this fat black comedian wanted to put him in one of his movies he was gonna do with who I think was Norton, mostly because my uncle is an eccentric weird guy who's likable and he stutters...at first I thought it was craig robinson but my uncle says that his name was pat something and I come to find out it was patrice.

It kills me to think that my uncle could have been potentially been in a movie but this dude just past away.

anyways Burr said that tickets for a patrice show would go on sale today....I wanna find the details cuz that show will probably be bananas...

I wish I knew about him before he passed |I

Started with Elephant in the Room and thanks to YouTube I've seen most of his other work :nthat:

RIP.

wasnt he beefing with bill burr at one point ,

bill did come out and say patrice was the funniest guy he ever met though

Always loved this rant:

dude could go on for days about sassy black security guard ladies

the "It's cold out there" story

and him and O&A going on about delicacies are hilarious

there's one where he and Colin Quinn are talking about an arguement they had

and Patrice calls him "Mr. Colins" in a really servile way and it had me in tears

the episode of O&A with Chris Rock schooling him is great too.

R.I.P.

One of the funniest comedians ever! He was pretty funny on the comedy roast of charlie sheen and I believe that's the last thing he did??

I was lucky to see him live when I was back in college, dude had complete control of the stage and got the whole audience involved. I went with my buddy and both our girls (it was his bday) and he straight clowned on my boy's girl for 5 minutes. She wasn't ugly, just small and African but Patrice wouldn't let up. My friend and I were crying from the jokes he was putting down, pretty sure he didn't get any yambs that night, she was definitely a little salty.

Never felt any emotion for someone who died that I didnt know except for Patrice Oneal and George Carlin. I actually felt sad when they died. RIP.
