Jack Taylor of Grinnell scored 138 points Tuesday night to set an NCAA all-division record for points in a game.

Taylor, a sophomore guard, made 52 of 108 field goals, including 27 three-pointers for the Pioneers. He also made 7 of 10 free throws as Grinnell defeated Faith Baptist Bible 179-104.

Taylor had scored 47 points combined in his team's first two games.

The previous scoring record was 113 points by Bevo Francis for Rio Grande against Hillsdale in 1954. Francis scored 116 in a game in 1953 under the NAIA.

Another Grinnell player, Griffin Lentsch, set the Division III scoring mark last year, scoring 89 in a 145-97 rout of Principia.

29 of 71 from 3. i'm good. playing against a scrub school and acting like he hard. I wish he would try that against a decent D3 school. Hell, come to NYC and try that against a CUNYAC school. i'm sure he happy making it to sportscenter tho.

Impressive, no matter the competition. Good stuff. I do want to see the dudes that were sticking him

^ thanks man good read, im actually d/l the game right now, looking forward to see how it went down.

While the score is an impressive number,
the fga of 108 says it all.
Hes a hardcore ballhog.
Someone i would not like
to be his teammate.

Sorry to bump but he's back in the news again scoring 109 this time on 70 shots. 35-70 fg, 24-48 from 3, 15-17 from FT.
