Calvin Johnson's Megatron Inspired CJ81 Collection: Release Info

Has make it?

You mean * has made it*

Rings are the only thing up for debate.

Neither has one.

Look statistically at each player.

Megatron > revis.

Revis is coming back from an injury....

Megatron is not, and is playing lights out this year.

Don't get feelings.

Eggsactly. People need to understand how retail works.
People just need to buy shoes, nike needs to understand how retail works...

The lions cw was the 4th cw, not the first.
I understand when you lower your prices, you also lower your profit margins. No company wants to lower their profit margins. No kd4, or Kobe8 to my knowledge saw a price cut. That would be considered a successful line. While I believe that nike has very high hopes for a future with Calvin, and will be loyal to a future line with him, I think it could have done much better in comparison to their other lines. I don't care what business it is, you expand where your profits are. Hence why a shoe pack like this will give a much wanted momentum boost to the line for Calvin and nike.

You do realize that once Nike sell their product to a store they have made their money... I love when all these Jim Kramer wannabes come out the wood work

Nike selling these shoes at 69,99 in one of their outlets generates a bigger or the same profit as Champs selling them for 120.00.

They wouldn't keep cranking these out if the line wasn't doing well.

Lebron X's showed up at outlets so is the Lebron line failing?

Everything you said was wrong. Once Nike sells their shoes to a retailer, the money is made on a product. Even when a product gets RTVd and sent to outlets, because the manufacturing cost is so low for a pair of shoes, they still profit multiple times over. Stuff that we may see as crap gets bought by a retailer because they actually have no choice in the say if they want an item people actually want like Jordan retros or Foamposites. Their strategy while cruel to buyers ensures they rarely take a loss.

You could have made these same arguments for the revis just a few months ago... I get what youre all saying and IM ON YOUR GUYS SIDE! Im glad there are very loyal CJ fans out there, all I said in the beginning was THAT IM GLAD THE LINE IS GETTING MORE ATTENTION.

Tell me when Revis had a commercial prominently featuring him?

And a few months ago the Revis were being being sold for 39.99.

I'm still waiting for these to hit that price point.

Ok, I know Nike has given a more expansive line and a larger push than revis ever received. That being said, just a month ago we were looking at pictures of the revis 2 on the revis thread, colorways were still releasing and selling quite well and then his line is cancelled. Its possible that the calvin line was doing so well that they saw no need for the revis line which I hope is the case. MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL, ALL IM SAYING IS I WANT THIS LINE TO DO AS WELL AS POSSIBLE FOR CALVIN TO BE A MAINSTAY! Anything else is secondary....

not to mention they throw a good shoe or two in the outlets from time to time as a business strategy to promote the stores... business 101... c'mon man!

and lol... cj over revis any day... thats laughable

The more I learn of Nike's business model it isn't Business 101, it's Business Monopoly 101. This is some Rockefeller ish...

wait so is the pack releasing this weekend? or next weekend with the shoes that you can buy individually?

Is someone really arguing revis over megatron?

The man who shattered the yards record and could easily break the season td mark durin his career

As much as i loved jerry rice, megatron could go down as the best ever.

Megatron is a 5 inch taller, .4 of a second faster, more dominant and a lil less of a route runner than rice.

Revis, what records has he broken?

How many playoff games have Calvin played in ?

One,

And he put up over 200 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jets defense hasn't fallen off at all without Revis dude was/is overrated. I'll bet $100 Calvin puts up at least 100 yards and a touchdown this weekend.

Revis ain't even in the same stratosphere as Calvin Johnson at this point in their careers.

u must be a BIG revis fan

Actually I'm not a BIG revis fan, im a BIG BUCS fan win or lose.
Im just wondering where were all these new CJ fans, when the Lions were losing every year. Where where they before this pack hype came about ? Half of them don't know Barry Sanders from Ricky Sanders
