Post your Barber Clippers/Liners: Barber Tools Discussion/Questions

I noticed my barber used an Oster clipper for my hair and he used it for my beard to take from 2inch to 1inch. Oster has the detachable blades but I've never seen one that cuts 1inch? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I would suggest a clipper like the Magic Clip, Wahl Senior, or Super Taper II for your beard. It won't come cheap at about $40-60, but you can use it for so many other things if you choose to in the future.
 
Took some advice from an old barber and bought some andis masters. They are heavy but they make make the most ridiculous fades. Quality.
 
Man I bought some Oster 76s for 70 bucks on eBay. I freaking love those things. The only setback is the blades costing 25 bucks. The fades that they give are ridiculous.
 
Hey_

I was using my Wahl Magic Clip the other day and It fell off the counter.

Now when I turn it on and the taper lever is at its closest setting, i got a loud buzzing sound.

How do I go about fixing this?

Not really a barber as in working out of a shop or even ever going to a barbers college but I do a little cutting here and there and get paid. I have a nice arsenal: Andis Masters, Wahl Seniors, Andis Styliner II, Andis T-Outliners (Converted from Andis Gold Outliners), Andis Outliner II, and Two pairs of T-Edjers

I own the second from the right.

Don't use to trim head hair or line up but i shave with it
 
Can anyone tell me how good does the Speed Master II's cut?  Do they get real hot after prolonged cutting?

I gotta say, I just got the PROMATE gold T-outliner blade and put it on my outliners, this blade is amazing. It don't get hot, my lines are extra crispy. anybody up on this?

Yeah man I got the promates on both my t outliners and my styliner 2s. They are pretty slept on but I love em.
 
what are a good pair of clippers/liner for facial usage?

im trying to even out my facial hair but my bearded grows in extremely patchy so i know it will take time. keeping a shadow for now but want it even out all over.

been using one of those little hand held trimmers and its not ideal for use.
