Post your Barber Clippers/Liners: Barber Tools Discussion/Questions

Guys all those fast feeds and senior clippers u do not need. Those are barber clippers made for multiple cuts back to back day in and out

I use to have the senior clippers but sold them.

I got the Andis Envy clippers. Same motor as senior. These are the bomb I love them. They are just as good or better then seniors. They are $30 made for home use. You will not be disappointed

I started a small company with my coworker, theyre custom wooden straight razors. Everything is handmade and carved.

My store is: AAstraightrazors.storenvy.com

This was a custom piece we did for the shop I work at. You can find more pics on instagram and the website.

You spent $30, I spent $50-$60.... That's not that much on something that is made to get used over and over, back to back. So with home use, it should last a very long time then.. pay for quality once...

what do I need to maintain this sort of haircut at home.

Barber will hook me up, but in 4 days the line/beard is donezo

^
Use an andis outliner or t-liner to maintain the lines. I also use a straight razor to shape my beard.

how do i keep it that length? can i put some sort of guard on the t-liner? to keep the dark stubble look?

My hairline is starting to slowly thin near my temples makin it hard for me to line myself up. Still cut my hair w/ the guard on. Don't wanna mess my hair up again

There are beard trimmers. I use a philips norelco one that works great. You can also use hair clippers with a number guard but from my experience they don't cut my beard as well.

I am not a barber, but this is one of my favorite hobbies. Here's what I'm working with right now:

Andis SpeedMaster II, Wahl 5-Star Senior, Andis T-Outliner, Andis Styliner II Trimmer

I own the second from the right.
Don't use to trim head hair or line up but i shave with it

Does the one on the far right cut closer than the T-Outliner?

Hella late reply, but yes, it cuts a little closer than the T-Outliner. However, it's only because the Pro-Mate blade for the Styliner II is gapped closer than the Pro-Mate blade for the T-Outliner. My Styliner IIs stopped working though, so I recommend the T-Outliner lol. I can't for the life of me get it to run again. I think something is wrong with the motor and not the blade.

Just ordered the 5 star magic clips. I've been cutting my hair for a couple years with some Andis clippers I got from Walmart. Figured I upgrade to see if I can get some better cuts

Those AtlantaBarberSupply prices are pretty much the going prices of barber tools.

I've never ordered from them, but I have ordered plenty of items from Bowman Beauty (google the name) and the prices are pretty much the same.

I have to post pics of my stuff probably have more crap than a real barber does

Thanks to this thread, I just upgraded my 8yr old Andis Pivot pros....I know I know. But just bought the andis outliner gtxs off Amazon.

The Atlanta barber supply has Very good prices and super fast shipping. I ordered my andis masters from them they got the best price I could find

Open it up and clean the hair off of the motor and wiring. One of my pairs of trimmers does the same thing after a few months.

Just copped some T Outliner. Was on the fence with them and the Detailer. Was used to the T Outliner so just copped it.

copped me an old fashioned straight razor. first few shaves were rough but after you get the hang of it its all you need :pimp:

Been wanting to get into straight razors for a minute, but have NO clue where to begin (as far as trusted brands, price points, retailers, etc.). Any recommendations would help, thanks.

You don't NEED an expensive clipper, but there is also no point in spending $30 on a decent one if you can get the professional ones for $40. I'm not saying you have to buy Andis Masters for $100, but there are some professional clippers that can be had at very reasonably prices. If you really want the best fades, you need the professional ones.

So these are the way to go?
