Wahl Clip n Trim- Use these for just trims without a guard and for fading/blending. Took me a long time to realize certain clippers make it easier to blend better than others. I need to upgrade soon though so if anyone has recommendation for fading clippers let me know.

And is SpeedMaster II- My main clippers. I use them more often than the Wahls because they stay cool throughout a whole cut.

Andis Outliner II- great for line ups and facial hair. Gotta get some pro-mate guards because these Andis ones rust after a couple months everytime.

Andis T-outliner- Probably the best trimmers I've ever used as far as lining up goes. But for some reason one side is WAY sharper than the other. Don't know what it is but I've zeroed them twice and it stays the same.

Really needs more contestants, interviews with the people getting cut? 1 on 1 interviews with the judges commentary instead of commentating live....

looks like they're just trying to pilot it online, and get it on network TV

Depends what you wanna get em for. To take down hair, it cuts really well and sharp. To fade, wouldnt get these. I shave with these clippers so they cut pretty close.

I would only buy them if you already have something like a fade master. Its more of an accessory tool because it's not very versatile

oster 76's or the 111 are a better choice (the detachable blades are the best for bald fades and high and tights,) then those clip n trims.... them more like at home use... beauty shop doing the back of a girls hair who has a bob etc.... or if you just trimming evening hair aka clipper of comb... wahl in general pretty much is not up to par on cutting guys hair with the exception of the wahl seniors.... And as far as the outliners goes id go with the skyliners II those joints last forever and need no guards....great for like beards mustaches goatees sideburns eyebrow trims etc....

Thinking about getting either the envy or speed master 2. Just cut my son's hair so I don't need masters or nothing. Which one would be best?

What machine do you guys recommend me for under $20. I just want to use it when my beard is too long and my shaver doesn't cut it and to take my body hairs off. I usually buy the cheapest one at Ross but I went today and they got nothing

only ones i can think of are wahls mains and the chrome pros.... i mean they arent a really good clipper they ok i guess at best... but for that price range thats all i can think of that or like one of those remington beard stache and body trimmers

Thanks man, what should I type in on amazon? My old one was a wahl, but I can't seem to find em now

Not really. I really wanted to get some andis. I think I'll go with the envy. They seem more like the professional clipper. The speed master 2 seems .kre like a household product to me.

Try Target, I was there the other day and they had a good selection of trimmers/clippers for around $20-30

Sally's Beauty Supply usually has a good selection but whatever they have can be found for 10-15% cheaper online

I have the same issue with the same and is T-outliner with one side being sharper than the other I don't know what it is. If someone knows how to fix it that would be great.

im not sure if they still do either but they are called just that wahl mains... and the other is called wahl chrome pro... I haven't really seen them in a minute, i believe there like a stainless steel finish similar to the seniors but on the body it says chrome pro i believe in white or black outlined with a red rectangle

over usage on one side...really its just that simple... take the front facing bolts off and the moving blade inside, see which side has more wear and grind/sharpen that side accordingly also it could be if you don't evenly oil the blades... If the run hot dry more on a side due to lack of oiling the will wear down at a much faster rate.

When your oiling them take a single drop to the center... and do the same in the corners palm side up... let them sit for about a good 10 minutes then turn them on for a few minutes and let the oil distribute evenly throughout the teeth.

Its a typical issue especially when your doing corners around the temple, side burners and lining up around the ears... especially with ppl who tend to favor using one side/one hand often...

Yo any body know how to fix a pair of clippers that doesn't cut at all?

Anybody?

both arent 2 be honest.... envies have a weak motor running like 6-7,000 rpms.... which in professional speak would take you twice as long as that of a masters the advantage for them is good for wet/dry hair and requires little to no adjusting if you doing a balding ie like a kobe... or a even length or low all over...

but for overall the speed master are better due to you can use the purple magnetic blades... can due various cuts and the blade that comes with it is pretty decent

envy if you just basically doing even all overs, low cuts basic cuts.... or if you have str8 hair etc... and again just doing a basic cut... they don't run hot really the motor is a whisper and even tho it doesn't have much power its not really of importance since you just doing a basic cut

speedmaster tbh is like a budget masters... it is like comparing a camry to a lexus with the lexus being the masters. they are good for a variety of cuts.... just that the motor isn't as powerful the blade doesn't have quite the precision... Youll usually see them used in beauty shops when they just need to maybe layer a girls hair in the back is rocking like a bob or low style haircut... or youll see it in like those...(weaksause) chain barbershops like supercuts etc... to which most clientel really aren't getting cuts they are more or less evening out a style before shaping the cut ie.. like what i see a lot of white guys are doing the old nat turner cut..parted on the side from the front temple going str8 back with basic trim in the back... ie like conan does like well pretty much most white guys i see. To which you just lowering just a tade before doing the styling of the cut with shears..

Im not saying they are bad... but if you plan on doing a great deal of cutting on a reg basis and especially things like temper fades etc... styles like that just note they will require going over sections a few times more times but will get the job done.

Any recommendations for a barber (NYC)who can do a nice dapper type cut?

I dont even know if my hair can do that look. I have typical straight Asian hair that falls down. Most I do nowadays is a sloppy fauxhawk look that works until it gets too long and looks a little goofy from a side view. Grew my hair long enough to attempt a dapper cut.
