5 years ago today Sean Taylor was shot in his home, and died tomorrow morning. Living in Virginia around a huge ******** fan base the news hit home. Sean was the future of the team, the best player, a leader on the field. The man finally started to figure it out off the field as well only to have his life taken from him. He is my favorite player, always has been and always will be. Through all of our dismal years of play he was our shining star and I'll always remember him for that. As Joe Gibbs once said "God you take care of Sean until we get there with him." RIP 21. Hail.

Won't ever forget the player or the tragedy. He played the game in a way you could only admire.

RIP Sean.

Hail.

i'll never forget the hit he put on brian moorman in the probowl :pimp:

i'll also unfortunately never forget how the ******** only lined up 10 players to pay respect to sean taylor on the first play of the game, and gave up about 12 yards on a run

sad his reign was cut short...dude was amazing on the field....no understatement there..amazing.

Was gonna make the thread tommorow but you got it.

Such a great skillset at that size...damn shame he was taken so young and it pisses me off that those punks who killed him are STILL having the trial pushed back.

His daughter flipped the coin at the Skins-Panthers gm and got the loudest cheer of the day. Crazy to see how she has grown from the famous picture of Sean carrying her in his football gear. His locker is still at FedEx Field in the club suite.

I remember watching FOX5 like at 5 in the morning with the graphic that he was pronounced officially dead and goosebumps immediately came over me. I made the thread here on NT. Sucks that he went out the way he did. Hoping he's relaxing in heaven and may God bless his daughter. A damn shame. RIP Sean.

I always wonder how the Taylor-Landry duo would have grown to be today. Would have been nice to see.

THIS.

Got his jersey still in my closet. Stays in the front. Last time I wore it was when they played the Bills following his death.

This one hit me hard. I still can't watch a full highlight vid of his because I get so angry at the circumstances surrounding his murder. Sean Taylor actually employed the kid that murdered him :smh:

That '07 season he put everything together and was on the verge of becoming one of, if not the best safety in the league.

RIP.

I wasn't surprised in the least when I heard the news Monday morning that Sean Taylor had been shot in his home by an intruder. Angry? Yes. Surprised? Not even a little. It was only in June 2006 that Taylor, originally charged with a felony, pleaded no contest to assault and battery charges after brandishing a gun during a battle over who took his all-terrain vehicles in Florida. After that, an angry crew pulled up on Taylor and his boys and pumped at least 15 bullets into his sport-utility vehicle. So why would anybody be surprised? Had it been Shawn Springs, I would have been stunned. But not Sean Taylor.
