No worries.
This sneaker was retrod many, many times with changes on each iteration.
It gets super confusing and annoying trying to keep track of all of them.
Below are a few pics of my pair that I purchased at some point in 2008.
You can see the black/smoke semi-translucent sole without any of the normal white accents.
I'm not sure why Nike decided to do this, but I'm very glad they reverted back with the 2017 pair.

To be fair, I think half the people working in shoes stores are there just to earn money. Not everyone is going to know about all these upcoming releases from Nike, Jordan, adidas etc.. unless they're sneakerheads but even then it's hard to keep track lol

Spoke with my local FNL. They confirmed they have the pairs in store. But won't put them on shelves till release date. Guess I'll be there when they open...hope the beasts don't get ahold of this one.

How is sizing on the AM 97's? I'm an 11-11.5. Never owned a pair of 97's, but in my AM1's I'm a 11. Trying to figure this out before i buy. If anyone could help, that would be great. Thank you!

I would cop the Tiscis if they were normal lows in this colorway. Can't deal with the high ankle collar.

Seeing consignment stores have them for $300+ and then selling are worrying me in me getting one pair.
Hypebeast's, these don't have boost, only obsolete air. Fall back.

Yea depends on what lace hole you decide to wear them at, my jeans sit above the ankle comfortably.
