The Tesla Motors Appreciation Thread

I brought it back in late January, I believe. So this is the the second time. They couldn't find out where the leak was either.

They need to just give you a new one at this point.

Can I request that? The car was bought in November 2013.

I don't know the details but the lemon law states that if the car has been repairs three to four times for the same issue and the issue hasn't been fixed while the car is still under warranty then you should be able to get a new car. Now I don't know if that's true or if there are other factors tied in with that like hours spent fixing the car etc.

Is it under warranty still? I would complain to Tesla corporate everytime directly. They might be able to take care of you.. all depends

I keep saying it'll take 10 years for Tesla to truly become a player in the car game... If the Model S last 10 years with the majority of them running just fine, it'll win the public over... But until a company is able to offer pre-owned and is well known for quality, it'll never be a true player....

I don't think the model s is a good example to prove your point. It's a luxury car. I doubt the owners care if it lasts 10 years and I doubt the general public will be interested in old used model s'.

Still under warranty.

They have a cpo website. They sold all but two cars and the only other cars in their inventory are loaner cars at the stores and service centers. People were getting deals cause they didnt list the models as being performance versions and people saved $30k+

Wow its still under warranty too!? Id def go complain to corporate after all those problems and they will probably redirect it to your nearest dealership. Probably put you in a new one...

hmmm... hint at a cheaper Tesla?

"If [the Model 3 platform] is designed so that roughly half of people can afford the car and then with the fourth generation - smaller cars and whatnot - we will ultimately be in a position where everyone can afford the car", Musk said, referring to people on the lookout for a new car and not the entire world population.

gas will be a thing of the past in 20 years HOPEFULLY!

They've been saying that for years. Doubt it...Trust me

But aren't these tesla the first real legit electric car that looks and runs like a gas powered one? They are luxurious while being actually pretty fast

It actual looks like the future now compared to the early 2000s with these so called hybrid and some crap electric cars

Yeah but one thing for sure is people don't like to adjust unless they have to. I talked to dudes in oil and gas and directly in energy and they said people have been saying that forever but here we are in 2016 and Tesla is barely making a dent in things and gas being obsolete. It wont happen in our lifetime let alone in 20 years. They'll make those automakers make more gas efficient cars before gas goes nonexistent in 20 years.

$ talks

Never said 20 years but tesla is legit compared to the big companies that tried something similar and failed.

We will see in the next 2 years with the actual release of this affordable car. I'm sure it will make a dent, can't all happen at once

;-)

My bad i read you wrong.Yeah def if that affordable car doesnt make a dent its safe to say it never will in this lifetime. Elon was right that that car coming out is the most important for Tesla and it HAS to do good.

Question is do I get another Model S or a Model 3 when the warranty is over.

If I want the Model 3 spec'd out to how I want it, it would prolly be around $84k and at that point, minus whale just cop the S. (These pricings are speculated on the teslamotorsclub forums)

The M3 has to have a range greater than 300 miles seeing as how the MS in the 90D configuration now has a range of 300+ miles

I thought the model 3 fully loaded would still be on the cheap/affordable side? Where did you see $84k

By da time they drop, da federal subsidised discounts will be done once they pass a certain #.

^Base model 3 will be 35k, not including any tax credits, discounts, deductions, subsidies in any shape or form.
