Broken Bone Stories

I broke my right index finger in 6th grade. I was throwing a football and somebody threw a ball at mine and it pushed my finger back.

My senior year I fractured both my wrists after coming down from a dunk. It was during the height of and 1 so I was trying to be like main event and kick the backboard. I let go of the rim when my legs were swinging back and my momentum had me coming down flat so I put my hands up to protect my face.

fractured ankle playing basketball with mountain gear boots on in 5th grade. i dont know if this counts as a broken bone. whats the difference?

Both wrists at the same(damn) time?

That must of sucked on lonely nights.

My worst injury is when I broke my humerus in half, dislocated my shoulder, tore me bicep and tricep and got a concussion because of a snowboard fall :smh: Truly don't remember much from the actual time it happened but the recovery and therapy was definitely the worst time of my life.

Also broke my right collarbone in 9th grade when I was a runningback. Kid took out my legs and I did a flip right onto my shoulder.

Broke my left collarbone in 6th grade playing keep away. Someone threw the ball way over my head and it rolled down the hill. I was sprinting after it and the kid was behind me sprinting and I tripped over the root of a tree that was coming out of the ground.

Also broke my tibula snowboarding, but that was only a fracture. Had to get stitches on my shin though.

Snowboarding is dangerous, always gotta be aware even if its a little plain green trail.

That being said, cant wait for the upcoming season.

I was trying to learn how to snowboard a couple of years ago. Surprised I didn't injure myself seriously :smh:. I've had some really hard falls that should've broken my wrists or arms or tailbone. Last time I went I fell vertical on my head. I have no idea how I didn't have a neck or head injury from that. I decided not to try again until I have health insurance . I'll take some lessons and learn how to carve and slow down.

Shattered my left collar bone. Extremely painful.

Clavicular stories are the best

Back in my senior year in high school, during summer league, we were playing some random school I never heard of. Anyways back in those days, I used to be a high flyer like I was doing chase down blocks at 5'10 before they were popular. So on this particular play, I caught up with this pudgy black kid laying it up extra weak; maybe he didn't see/hear me coming up but it was as casual of a lay up as it possibly could have been, like he basically just ran up jumped like 12 inches as if he were demonstrating right-left-jump layups to 3rd graders. Anyways, I jump and  pinned the **** out of his weak *** ****, and this mother ****** decides to box me out

luckily he barely put a body on me but he nudged me enough to where I landed awkwardly with my ankle under me, like it bent over backwards and it was such an awkward turn for my ankle that I'd never felt before I literally had no idea what had happened and basically just ended falling flat on my face, thinking back I'm kind of surprised I didn't break a tooth or anything

. Ended up fracturing my ankle......

Both feet, right arm, and L4 vertebrae in my back. All separate incidents though

I broke my arm/elbow in 3rd grade.. we were outside playing kickball and it had rained the night before so the grass was still wet. I hit a boomer and ran around first base but slipped. I tried to catch my self but ended up landing palm up and my elbow bent forward with all my weight :x

Dumbass nurse gave me a bandaid on my forearm and told me i was fine

broke my pinky coming up for a rebound playing basketball... my boy shot it, it hit the rim and it was one of those shots that comes down MAD quick/hard and it hit my pinky and bent it sideways ..

I broke my friends finger once too.. We were laying down on our skateboards going down a hill and I ran over his finger. Called him a ***** and **** until the next day at school he had on a cast

I tried doing a flip on the pull up bar in gym.  Hit my head on the wall and fell on my left arm/wrist.  Almost passed out

In high school I broke my hand. Was riding my bike up hill pretty fast and the chain skipped. Knee hit the handle bars and I went over. I guess I held on to long because I got spiral fractures in all 4 o my metatarsals, held my hand up and it just folded over on itself like a damn tortilla. Lucky for me though the fractures didn't go through my knuckles so I avoided surgery, if they did go through I would have had a metal bar or screw inserted into each knuckle :smh:

Also not a broken bone but I completely separated my shoulder. Before I say this I will not I have dislocated both shoulders before this, my left once and my right twice. I was snowboarding and landed switch off a park jump and was hauling *** and I guess a caught an edge and got whipped to the ground. Heard a super loud pop and lost my breath. Was pretty scary but weirdly enough I didn't feel any pain. Got up and rode down the hill and my shoulder just felt like it was floating, one of the craziest sensations I have ever felt. Worst thing was that was a weekday and one of the only days all year I drove up to the mountain by myself, so had to make the 1.5 hr drive down with my arm in a sling then to urgent care. Ended up having surgery a few days later, Dr. said all the ligaments holding my clavicle to my shoulder joint were blown out, my collar bone was literally sitting 3-4 inches higher than it should have been :x

I had a 45 lb plate dropped on my big toe in the weight room senior year of highschool. You don't realize how important that toe is until something like that happens

Broke my left thumb playing ball in 7th grade. Kept playing, told moms after the game I though it was broken but she brushed it off. Ten plus years later my thumb is crooked.
