Consider me one of the few that REALLY likes these The shroud + plus the new-age ProPlate Zoom Air are both exciting additions to the shoe. I think Jordan Brand should be applauded for not playing it safe with these.

This truly is what Jordan Brand needs right now: a polarizing-yet-simplistic sneaker that features new technology. Honestly, I haven't been truly impressed by a recent Air Jordan since the 2009s, and I'll take the XX8s over Air Jordan's 2009 - 2012 based on the design alone. Really, the only issue I have with the XX8s right now is the $250 price. That's the primary reason I'm hesitant about potentially buying a pair.

Of course, they won't be the easiest sneakers to wear off court, but they have casual appeal to me. Maybe that's because I'm not part of the "skinny jeans" crowd, but I digress.

I look forward to seeing great colorways of the XX8s. Hopefully Jordan Brand keeps the colorways simple, because this shoe's shrouded design speaks more for its aesthetic than any crazy colorway could.

Again, I believe Jordan Brand did well with these. I haven't been this excited about a new Air Jordan since the XX3s debuted back in 2008.

If they cut that collar I might participate. Like the icy sole and the foamposite-esque midsole. They could've pulled off the zip up but IT'S JUST TOO DAMN HIGH!

@jc619er: 250 my man, its like a couple posts above yours.

[h5]" Part of the Tinker Hatfield helmed design was influenced from the Arnold Schwarznegger film True Lies ”

oh so you used a bad movie as inspiration for your flagship shoe....sounds legit LOL[/h5]

JB out here trollin'.

I'm sure these will be dope on the performance tip, but what happened to function AND fashion?

they look like some women's boots. it wouldn't be bad if it was cut a bit lower.

I agree performance will be good but i think its pretty clear that the new breed of jordans will be strictly for basketball....will this be the change they needed? only time will tell.
