Your Next Vacation Destination.....?

My wife just booked flights to Paris and London for 14 days in dec for our 5 year wedding anniversary :pimp:
She felt bad because she got the order mixed up, since the first week we'll be in paris and the 2nd week for our actual anniversary we'll be in London. The flight there and back are too good though to pass up. Flying there it's an overnight flight and the only layover we have is in London, but atleast the bulk of the flying will be done with. On the flight back it's straight from London to Cali.

I told her not to cancel and rebook, we'll just take the train to paris to spend another day there

I'd like to say I've been working but ever since it's been booked all I've been doing is starting to plan the trip

Do Madrid & fly over to Barcelona. Madrid is cool & has a dope scenery, but Barca is way more fun. I feel like Madrid has better paella & sangria as well. Although we found a dope spot my last trip to Barca. They take the siesta seriously in Madrid, so don't plan on foing much but sleeping from 4-7pm.

Nice. Good to know. Thanks.

A big group of my friends are going to Barcelona in September!

Any suggestions? Sights? Some of us are probably gonna head to Ibiza while we're there too

:nerd:
The Sagrada is a must see. All the architecture done by Antoni Gaudi is pretty much a must see, but get tix for the Sagrada before you go. Downtown/Gothic Quarter is dope for shopping and walking around during the day, and for some of the local nightclubs like Jamboree & Otto Zutz. Definitely hit Restaurante Miño (off of Las Ramblas, a famous street) for the best paelle in the city. The beach is poppin ALL day. Its topless, and at night theres mad clubs along the boardwalk but they're mostly touristy. The W hotel at the end of the beach is super lit tho. Take a tour of Camp Nou regardless if you're a fan of the futbol club or not. Its a dope experience, and only 25€. Also Bunker Del Carmen for fire pics.

Try to catch a flamenco show
Glad I took one in when out there

I think I decided. 3-4 days in San Francisco with one of my closest cousins and 1.5 weeks in London to visit another set of cousins. Now just need to plan it out. Don't know whether to fly to San Fran and go to London from there or go to London then fly to San Francisco and then back to NY.

Barcelona is def more aesthetically pleasing, but I feel Madrid has a lot more personality

Got back from Cuba.
It was really nice. Almost felt like if I had gone through a time machine.
Very safe. No guns or knives or thefts. A lot of locals trying to sell you stuff tho. Many conversations went like this.
"Hey my friend"
"Where are you from"
"Cool, I can interest you in Cigars"
"Can I call you a taxi"
"I can show you around"
Overall, it was a GREAT experience"

^ I wanna go so bad..was it easy to get there or do u still have to go thru Canada..was it cheap?

Anyone been to Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun? Going in August for my wifes birthday.

Just came back from there. Stayed at Finest Playa Mujeres.

Stayed at the 2 Story Terrace Suite. http://www.finestresorts.com/suites/finest-suites/two-story-rooftop-terrace-suite-with-plunge-pool/

Took a boat ride to Isla Mujeres, small island, bunch of shopping. No night life though, and we were told it was best to stay in at night for our "safety"

We're staying in some all inclusive resort. Did you like the island during the day? Figured we would take the boat over to cancun if we wanted to get into the nightlife. We're a little older so we are kinda looking to chill and relax more than getting turnt up.

Then it's perfect for you... very chill, walk the beach and watch the sunset.

Cancun (Zona Hotelera) is actually like a 30-40 minute drive depending on traffic and that's not counting the boat ride.

I know you're staying in all inclusive resort, but I recommend checking out Tulum, Xcaret and Chichen Itza (if you're into those things)

My boy and his wife There a few months ago. They said the maid stole a shirt, hat and sunglasses from their room. When he went to ask the office about it they were rude and said that they wouldn't look into it. He was disappointed because his first day there was good but he eventually cut his trip short and flew back early.

^^^^That is a good reminder for all people to lock all your stuff and even buy locks for suitcases. Maids and staff are never to be trusted. Your word is nothing in foreign countries.

This.

When I went to Philippines and Thailand earlier this year.

The safe was so small and light, but it was better than nothing.

So I locked my personal belongings in there, and then put the safe in my suitcase and locked my suitcase on top of that.

Yea the ferry is like $16 each way.

But I highly recommend doing the party boat tour.

It's like $45 each. It's from 9-5pm.

They take you snorkeling, Isla Mujeres, Feed the fish, Great Lunch Buffet, Free alcohol drinks on the boat, parasailing, and other cool stuff.

It's only $45 per person, it's dirt cheap. Me and my GF did it in January. We got stupid drunk, those sweet drinks will sneak up on you. But our boat was mad cool, all people our age so we had a blast. Then we all metup again at night for CocoBongo, and turned up even more. I hadn't drank like that since my college days, but it was amazing.
