Your Next Vacation Destination.....?

Going to NYC next weekend but haven't booked my hotel yet. Was gonna stay with this chick but I have seconds thoughts.

A) What neighborhood should I stay in? I'm looking to see the main monuments. Going to a 50 cent concert in BK friday night. Then looking for yambs after.

B) What are some dope bars to go to? or clubs? I like latinas and rap music mostly. I thrive and predominately white crowds too I'm a young professional. Really just want to pull some butt at the end of the night. Any input would be appreciated!

Edit: Any new yorkers been to any of these spots? http://gothamist.com/2016/01/14/best_hook-up_bars_nyc.php

Any recommendations in what area of barcelona i should stay? How do you usually get to your destination from the airport?

Ive been looking at airbnb's that are pretty cheap actually, just deciding on the area.

Why annoyed? :nerd:

I feel bamboozled, my girl planned all these trips for us to take before our second child is born, so I put in a request to take all these days off and the other day I got a save the date notice in the mail for the wedding in July. Had I have known we were already going to Southern California I wouldn't have agreed to all these trips.

Suggestions for a group (about 4/5 couples) to an all-inclusive resort? Looking to go around the beginning of June.

Summertime in Hong Kong is awful. I went recently in November though, and the weather was perfect. 60-70 degrees the whole time (which is freezing for HKers; saw people out in winter coats and down jackets looking at me like I was insane for walking around in a t shirt and shorts

)

It's a cool city though. The nightlife is

especially since you can drink on the streets in the bar/club district (Lan Kwai Fong). The most packed bar is 7-11 because all people do is buy beers for cheap there and chill outside, while the real bars/clubs have like 5 people in them

Also, stop relying on your friends if you want to travel and just go. If I had that mentality, I would've only gone on one overseas trip last year instead of 4. Just stay at a good hostel; you'll meet tons of people in their 20s-30s who are traveling alone as well (and will save $$$$ on lodging expenses) . I've made friends/connections all over the world that I can kick it with the next time I visit their countries
How awful is it? Im used to hot summers in SoCal but it's dry here. Any other places you enjoyed visiting in HK?

Take the metro it's like 3 euro..it takes longer than a cab but the cab is madddd expensive

***Also go on Priceline and look up 4 star hotels and up..u can't go wrong..also read the reviews on tripadvisor..it will help u make ur decision a lot

Two business trips to Germany coming up in Spring/Summer, both times plan on connecting to other places as I head back. Thinking Prague and south of France (or maybe Morocco)

Crazy how low a priority material things have become, relative to travel. Know it's not for everybody, but getting out there and seeing the world is so much more fulfilling

Went to Rome and Capri in October, fam you are not lying about not taking a cab. Those things are ridiculously priced, maybe it's a Euro thing...costly cab rides

I think Uber is in the bigger areas of Italy like Rome now

Would go that route to avoid gypsy cabs

Hong Kong and Asian summers in general are awful because of the humidity. That sweaty and sticky feeling is the worst  At the end of the day though, you'll still love the city no matter what time of the year you go

HK has a bunch of cool spots you can visit. Victoria Peak for a view of the entire city (it's especially good at night), the harbor light show at 8 PM, Big Buddha statue at Lantau Island (about a 45 min metro ride from central HK), nice parks that are much better than any in the US, very affordable Michelin Star rated Dim Sum spots in Kowloon, beers & betting on horses at the track (TONS of people are out doing this at night), etc.
