anybody ever went to a sneaker release and some managers and employees would be out in the line, telling some customers that you can get your pair now but for a mark up of $150... how would you feel... lol i mean i would see old ladies and mothers get mad... you know after they sell out they be like how yall had only like 30 people walk in and sell out...

I'm just gonna put this here...
OP is grimey. Wash your hands b.
naw son... former employee.... i never seen the fairness out of that, because its not fair to the customer and the other employees.. when the other employees come in at the later shift, you had 400 dollars in your pocket from working that release but the other employees salty

If I ever caught a worker at a shoe store doing that, I would find a way to get some footage so that everyone involved loses their job.

i work for a huge store in philly. i never ever (aside from stores in Franklin Mills Mall up in the NE part of philly) seen stores or employees charge up. what some employees do do though is camp out at their store and do what they feel like doing afterwards with the shoes. a lot of you complaining should only complain if you have no other alternative but honestly more and more pairs are being released in abundance. my gripe is when working the 4:00 pm shift we got no commission to make anymore cause all the sale leads and asst managers get all the dough from the 8am release...got me in there messed up sellin apparel to the cats who came back after coppin the shoes and had a second thought lol. but do your thing dro420 get it how u can!!

well what if the scheme was all the head manager... who you gonna call??

i dont know i dont care, you think something can be done against the manager? lol

thats why i dont buy in store anymore, i dont have time to deal with BS.

:smh: this never happened at NTNY

Yo that's one thing I always wondered how NTNY was able to keep scheming under control.

I only know of one person that was able to get a hook up from NTNY and that was because I think he used to refill the vending machines or something so they would let him purchase (cash though, and rounded up) before hand and then scan it the day of release or hold him down a pair.

I know workers there probably looked out for themselves as well as others, but I think since it was opened NTNY hasn't fell prey to the heavy scheming of every other chain store or sneaker spot.

i've never seen this happen in front of me...

but last year when the concords came out i called my finishline while i was parked outside in the malls parking lot,

since they dont permit camping or anything of that nature, it was 20 mins before they opened at 10 am, some dude answers and i ask if they have the concords

dude replies naw they all sold out...

, i was like yall aint even opened yet, then he said that all the pairs are reserved...then he asks me my size and i tell him

and he tells me he has a pair for 360...

my mall has perhaps 2 stores that gets jordans but they only get a pair of each size..so its pretty much impossible for anyone that doesnt work inside the mall to get a pair..

I currently work there and have been for years and i can say with confidence no shady stuff has been happening, for the past year i actually had to camp out for shoes a long with other employees and customers. Even when I lost on the twitter RSVP i still go and camp or do whatever it is to get the shoes.

reselling out the back > waiting in line complaining, planning to call a 1800 number with fists clenched

you guys have to realize, unless you're an athlete, sneakers are just clothing accessories
you're basically fighting for your right to waste porsche money, b

so damn yall managers would make yall campout too?? now thats shady, at FL we use to get emails after 2-3 years i started working and it would say employees couldn't put their shoes to the side but we still did and we sold a hefty amount of shoes on the side for pocket money... and idk what yall call reselling out the back door, we didnt do that we straight up collected people money and let them come in as we would lift the gate up and down for people who was in line to come in and just say hey come in...

If they let him do that, they dead wrong. Definitely a fireable offense. Probably was a manager that is long gone by now.
