What's it like living in the suburbs?

There's more culture and things to do in the city versus the burbs. However, the burbs are relatively safer than the city and hold a more homely feel (big fish in a small pond vs. small fish in the ocean)?

I was born and raised in the suburbs. The desert to be exact, (Palm Springs,CA). Everything feels so close minded there. Like I never knew what life was like until I moved to the city lol I moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago and my life turned around completely and I grew up. I feel like I was exposed to so many new things since I moved to the city. Crazy how different two areas could be.

Bruh... What?

Maybe I've been in the hood too long cause i understood perfectly what he meant.
When I'm in the city at night there are street lights every where, businesses bars and restaurants still open, billboard lights, headlights, etc.
when I'm driving at night in the burbs Its so dark and desolate i feel like I'm in a Rob Zombie flick about to get got.

I guess. It isn't that dark around my way though... We have street lights

That sounds like the country, not the suburbs, but I guess it depends on where you're at
