As a minority (Asian), it feels very white. At times I forget I'm of color. Its kinda weird. So very white.

Living in the suburbs, I could tell you that I probably know more people that ****ed up their life due to drugs, a ton of alcoholics, and a lot of car accident deaths in teens because of pure boredom. The things to do include movies, bowling, or drinking. It truly is a boring life.

when I moved out of my prior crackhead infested complex into this suburban wonderland, I didn't know what to do with myself. went to a girls house and her mom made us drinks and told me if I smoked to go in the garage and don't dump the guts in the trashcan. I was like 16.
I will never willingly go back to da hood, b. lots of pillheads in the burbs though. it stays quiet, and it's boring as hell, but now I only worry about getting shot when I go to my cousins parties instead of walking home from 711.

Grew up in dem 'burbs. A few things I remember:
- As soon as you walked through the front door, it didn't really matter if you locked it or not.
- Lots of nosy neighbors (y'all really started a neighborhood watch team?)
- Kids walk on everyone's lawns.
- From morning til 4pm and dusk til morning it is quiet time.
- Getting your golf clubs stolen out of your garage was the equivalent to a 187 in the hood.
- There was always one gay couple or homeowner on the block whom everyone was afraid to socialize with; didn't get the block party invite.
- If you had a portable basketball hoop, it belonged to everyone on the street.
- Hopefully when I'm 40 and have a family I'll be back. I developed serious paranoia after I left.

i never lived in da burbs but i got fam that do my gf lives there too its not a big difference if you live 20-30mins away from the city
the neighborhood is way more quiet
some nice neighbors offer food
sometimes u got them snobby *** neighbors who complains over everything which is kinda good and bad
and da best part house parties
most the time parents are gone too easy yambz

I dont live in suburbs. but i have cousins that do. when im out there its boring. its dead. streets are dead. everywhere around is closed early besides 7/11. Gas stations close early. Everything. Cops are posted up in random spots ready to pull young kids over or black people over.
Cops will harass the f outta u there because there is no real crime that happens over there. So they try to get something going on in their lives of boredom.
Its dark @ night time. You cant see **** in some areas. You will see weird animals such as wolves and coyotes over here in MA.
It sucks. I could never do it.
