What I'm confused about.... Why didn't her daughter just translate for her?

Also, there's no need to tazer her.... that's excessive force. She's a 44 year old lady.

I hope she sues them and gets the cops and employees fired.  Cops always abuse their powers, it's pretty ridiculous what they get away with...

good point... why should she be treated differently just because of her race? i understand that apple doesn't want people reselling their products in other countries, but what gives them the right to discriminate between different races? not all chinese people are gonna be coppin iphones to sell back to china....

That is racist though. I went to an event with some coworkers a few days ago and some guy went up and pointed right into his face stating he must know kung fu. The guy just had the :wow: x :frown: look afterwards.

Reminds me of that Office episode where Michael picked Stanley first for a pickup game cause he assumed he was good at basketball cause he's black.

hahahahaha similar situation happened to my buddy in college. he got arrested for some BS and taken downtown for processing in Long Beach, CA. When he got there, they asked if he wanted to go into the holding cell with the blacks or the mexicans. He said put me in with the blacks. As soon as he got in there, some of the guys came up to him and told him that they were gonna rumble with the mexicans as soon as they had the chance. The dudes were excited cause they assumed my buddy knew kung fu just cause he's asian and they were happy to have a kung fu fightin warrior on their side. My buddy thought it was best that he not correct their false assumption and went along with it as if he was a kung fu master. thankfully we were able to get him bailed out before anything went down.
 
Had no idea Apple has it in their policy not to sell to certain nationalities :smh:
 
wow wth is wrong with these fools... the taser could have done major harm if she in her 50s-60s, totally uneccessary. They should have just let her buy what she wanted to buy for her fam. dont see any harm in that...i mean cmon, her people work in sweatshops for shtty wages putting together those iphones.

regardless of what language you grow up learning, if you are born here you are a citizen. If you marry a US citizen, its probably not all that difficult to get a green card. There are other ways too.

but how is this relevant to the topic in any way? are you implying that you have to speak English to live in "Murrica? closet racist alert
 
This story just seems fishy.

If she was denied why come back?
Why wasn't the daughter with her?
Police really couldn't grab her hard and handcuff her?
I can sell it on eBay to China and I'm black, Chinese people aren't the only ones with internet.
This makes zero sense.

several ways.... my parents for example were refugees of war that helped the US fight against the communists. When the commies took over their country some people sponsored my parents to come to the US because if they stayed they would have been killed for going against the new govt.

Black passenger in car is shot and killed after run in with cop in a retail setting = 20 ******g pages of people backing the cop. "she should have know better"
Asian lady tasered after not complying with cop in a retail setting = 3 pages thus far of people compaining the cops were out of line.

Double logic....and underlying racism... but I guess that is the nature of the internet where you can say how you really feel and stay anonymous. This place sickens me at times. :smh:

Clearly there are differences but are you going to honestly say that more than 50% of the replies in the Walmart thread arent people saying "SHE BROKE THE RULES, SHE HAD IT COMING" to justify the use of force?

Son, stealing and doing it knowingly as opposed to buying two phones which isn't against the law and not knowing are two very different circumstances. I'm not saying the Walmart situation should've went down like it did nor do I support it one bit but I don't think you can classify them two situations as similar.

If she didn't speak English, they couldn't find one translator or even use hand signals to say "NO. iPHONE. FOR. YOU."?? And where ya'll even remotely get the idea that she was planning on reselling it? :lol: Yes, them Asians always cop pieces of Apple products just to commit some illegal business transaction with it because that's how they do! :nerd:
