Mercedes Benz E-Class- 2018 COUPE REVEALED - Middle-Child S-Class

Pretty dope as usual. Interior and exterior.

Although the E is catered towards those 45+ year olds with a 250k+ income (White Doctors, mid level VPs or lawyers), the AMG wether it is in hatchback, 4 doors or coupe is an all time sleeper whips. I am excited to see the AMG version w/600+bhp, I am fairly certain I would have that car at some point in the near future.

Was actually considering checking out the A5/S5 Sportback but I think this pretty much surpasses the Audi.

By far. If they continue to open up about just styling everything based off the S and S Coupe its over for everyone else until they catch up

Audi, I think they feel comfortable being the third best .

I can see a respectable comparassion between 5series/M5 with E / AMG, but not with the A5 / S5.

I think the S class is designed for a CEO/Head-of-State type to be driven in , some obviously drive it. But that class and its successive versions were designed for that. The E is for the upper middle class population, that is atleast how I see it.

Iirc, the RS series competes with AMG and //M

I actually wasn't talking about the A5/S5 sportback competing with these when I mentioned it, it's just that the sportback design are similar but the Audi sportback just happens to be a sedan (and one of the vehicles I really want to check out too because the A7/S7/RS7 was just way too big for me).

The A5/S5/RS5 does compete more with the 3-series, RC, C-Class coupes but Audis A5/S5/RS5 has always been in somewhat of a weird position because they don't really have any other coupe outside of the TT and R8 so I've always seen it doing double duty and also goes up against the mid-size coupes.

also it'll utilize MB new straight six engine...

Mercedes is going to offer a new AMG E50 range-topping version of the new E-Class Coupe during the latter half of 2017.

The new model will be one of the first cars to get the company’s new M256 straight-six engine which is set to make its debut in the updated S-Class, Autocar reports.

The new engine will be a 3.0-litre petrol unit with a conventional turbo running along an electrically operated compressor and a 48v electrical system.

In its standard form, the new engine will produce 402hp but after a series of upgrades, including a higher boost pressure and internal modifications, the output is expected to rise to 450hp for the E50 Coupe.

Decision would be between this or the Jaguar F Type

My dad has a F-Type. He hates it. So many electrical problems. He's going to trade this in for an Audi.

As much as like how the the Jags been looking and performing (including the F-Pace) these days, chances are I will never own one for this very reason.

Probably why I'd avoid Range Rovers too.

They're apples and oranges to me, I'd take the Cayman over the F-Type for sure versus the entry-level (it's about $7k cheaper too - before options).

Once you go to the S, R, SVR, etc... I'd probably just go with a 911.

I'm a Benz dude but I'm taking an F Type over a E coupe. I heard those FTypes are fun to drive too

Cayman I don't know much about

Still and never will be a fan of the E coupes.

All I've seen are birds driving them, especially this big bird looking anesthesiologist over here
