I'm sooooo happy these are re-releasing these right!! I bought the BMP on release day and never wore the black toes. I sold them, then got them back in a trade and sold them again DS. I was just so upset how they did them, no love. These get MADD LOVE and are a must cop.

guess that's why i wear my pair, and not a damn soul around this town even knows what they are, except me (so i'm not even "breaking necks", LOL)...
who else on this site even would wear OG black toes? i've worn them on special occasions and random sunday nights for no reason at all. i've only seen one other person post a pic wearing OG black toes, and that's the guy who helped me find this pair.
i bought OG black toes, not cuz of their value, or rareness, but simply cuz i prefer the color way over all jordan 1's, and i didn't really like the black tongue on the one retro they did.
mine were virtually DS when i got them, like, 99% stars... if i cared that much about the value, surely i wouldn't wear them at all.
whatever tho, you can save that holier than thou crap for someone else, cuz you know as well as i do, it's nice to know something you spent a good chunk on is gonna hold it's value over time (for various reasons, i'd prolly never sell, but if i ever needed the money badly, or to pass down to my kids one day, etc)...

call me crazy but i rather get the new love release with the black tongue then his one if jordan himself actually wore the black tongue idc bout the hype or nike air on the new one have no prob with the jumpman on his shoes shows the evolution in my eyes

Wow people changing their opinions because they don't have black tongues now? Hell, i bet you alot of people just found out about the Jordan pic. I sure did, but that's not stopping me from copping these. Those are obviously his own sample. The sad thing is, people complain, complain, and complain, but the shoe still will sell out. So I'll still have a difficult time to cop these

Its a legitimate reason. I personally look for every reason not to get a release. The reason I liked this shoe is because the white is not too overwhelming. I dont mind white shoes, I just dont like having a big collection of white shoes.
Im not sure if it is a dealbreaker for me. Most likely. This will be a game time decision for me. And I was really waiting for this colorway to be done right.

They'll be $140 like the Knicks, Royals, and Shadow Grey's since they all have NA, slightly better leather and much better padding around the ankle than the many pairs that will/have released at $110. Changes are not worth the $30 increase, but it is what it is. I'm getting and wearing the hell out of these, black tongue or no black tongue. It would have been nice to get a retro 1 for $110 during that brutal 5 week stretch of releases this falls in, though (Playoff VIII on April 20, Grape V on 5/4, these on 5/18, and Bugs Bunny VIII on 5/25...)

wats wrong with wanting a shoe the way jordan wore it i dont see it as complaining they already have a release with a black tongue so all i gotta do is get that release and pass on this just like the 13s i didnt complain just knew what i wanted

I won't pass on these but I still prefer the black tongue like on my BMP pair. But those are mid. Man I guess I can never have what I want.

Ain't nothing off about em. The OG release had a white tongue, so these being coined as OG'85 they had to have a white tongue.
