Air Jordan 1 High “Black Toe” – 2013 NO buying,selling-trading

^Is it ok for me to listen to Bing Crosby;s music eventhough I wasnt born when he was dominating the charts? How about I love Lucy? Can i respect the show and watch my favorite episodes even though I wasnt born when that show was hot?

Please tell me

Who cares of someone is old enough to get the "right" to wear jordans? It's not like these opinions will affect someone's decision in actually attempting to buy the shoe so this talk is invalid

but your not old enough to wear these. see the things you just said kid, i did say kid. if you didnt get to see him play in early years. you dont need em .1 to 2 pair huh, ok rich kids like you is why good hard working men like me and others can only afford 1 pair with a family. your taking away from someone else greed. taking away from and og head who wants em

A 27 year old is old enough to watch him in his early years? Keep telling yourself that.

Rich kids like me? You have already proven you are an idiot with your false assumptions. A 27 year old is not much older than I am. I am old enough to have some of the early retros with (NA Including 1s). Crawl under a rock oldhead.

true bruh but i rather see someone rock them from the crib when they was sky jordan 1 than someone who knows nothing about the shoe these sit around my way i had em in 5 th grade what the know about sky jordan air jordan 1 nothing

And this is why sneakerhead (or any variant of it) is an offensive term to me. I am embarrassed to be categorized with people like you. I don't want people thinking im anywhere near as foolish

Hey man I'm 20 and I'm saying you gotta grow up fam. Maybe I don't know everything about a classic shoe but that doesn't mean I'm ignorant and I cop cause they look nice. Everyone starts somewhere and you can't knock em for that. There is an age limit for Jordan's now? Don't call us greedy when your being the same claiming that it should only be for the true "og" heads. We all put in work to get what we want and people that work the hardest to get the shoe should get them. Not because we are old enough

Not sure what this is supposed to mean?

But the part I was getting at was its "what they know" and if he was wearing sky jordans he wasn't old enough to watch him play.

green - yes i know
all it means is that his misspelling of 'they' conjured the pic; i had to read the post twice to understand it

I just turned 38. Royals were my first pair at 10+ years old. I would personally shake the hand of any young man with a pair of 1s on. To me its a tremendous sense of pride to see younger generations just as excited for the ole dinosaur as they are for flashy 3m or patent leather. Provided youngsters are educated properly on the historical importance, the "im an og and i lived it" isnt something to hold against anyone. Consider yourself lucky if you did get to live it. i do.

Repped Gerald.  One of the few newer collectors, as in the last few years, that actually does appreciate learning about the history of the SHOES (not the man, we are not in a basketball forum here, this is a forum about FOOTWEAR) and will take that knowledge and share it rather than trying to rub it in someones face or hide it away like it's a bar of gold.  Your posts and maturity are appreciated in here, by me at least.  I know I learned something form you, and all I had to do was ask

Great post as well, V8er.

Old a** man getting mad because he feels entitled to purchase a sneaker that's available on the open market. Laughable at best but also sad....

Stop feeding the troll people.  I posted my "review" earlier but it was buried by nonsense.  I ranked them #3 of the 5 ones I've purchased in the last year quality-wise.  Lower quality than Vegas' and Royals but better than Cal/Marquettes and Chicagos.  Unless by "review" you mean the lame videos where people just tell you what color the shoe is as if you didn't already know.

Those are more like descriptions than reviews and I don't know if any exist because I don't watch them anymore.

Great post as well, V8er.

Not sure if this whole post was directed towards me besides the "Repped Gerald."

But even the rep alone, thanks so much. I really appreciate it. I'm just a guy that has always loved sneakers and basketball. Growing up in a somewhat ghetto grade school, I had classmates wearing taxis, af1s, concords, 1s (those are especially my love at first sight) and even iversons. Just loved them. Would always go on my windows 98 computer and look at all the different pictures of shoes. Never had enough money for them ha but it's something I can sort of do now. Basically what I'm trying to say is, though young, there is still people that loves shoes for what they are and why they are and I'm one of em. I'll try to not disappoint you older heads and make sure that the true sneakerhead meaning stays alive haha.

And v8er, as a young punk I guess, I appreciate your rambles haha. You have been one of the nicest dudes to me here at NT and I appreciate it

At least I'm not the oldest in here lol! (35)

LOL it was all directed towards you Gerald. I thought the last sentence may have been a hint. But I ain't old either haha, just been buying and in the culture a while. Not as young as you, but we share the decade. I also had to look at most pairs from afar growing up, but got my money up mowing yards before I could legally get a job, so I could get a pair every few numbered release or so. I appreciated the hell outta those shoes tho. Also, from the Lebron thread, old Phil is 40 so I think none of us are the old one in here haha.

Sorry to get so off topic, never hurts to show some appreciation on this site tho. It used to be something that happened a lot more often.

Don't sweat trying to impress "old-heads" because in the end, you're the only one who benefits from it. Just let them get their word in... the trolls like to throw around their weight on their AOL 56k dial-up snazzy setup. In the end, if the shoes make your happy, that's all that matters. To each their own...

Let the grampa get his word in or he'll throw a *****fit... yaknow gramps will give you a WHOOPIN! lol let him catch feelings, while we catch flights (and the rest of the kicks we're striving to cop)

Thanks cdoobie and KINGkong34. Really appreciate the kindness and support.

Honestly, just want to have NT as I have read, like the "good ol' times" again. And as Gandhi would say, "You have to be the change you want to see in the world."

Anyways sorry back to topic, I am stoked for this black toes release! 20 or 27 or whatever :smokin
