...Official BLACKBERRY Thread v.updated...

question... if i get a curve, will i be able to surf the internet for free or do i need a data plan. also, i'm assuming there is no AIM on it, is this true?

To anyone who has a MAC + Blackberry, their is a nice little program called Mount Me! that you can use to force your MAC to recognize your micro SD card. It saved me money and I use it all the time to transfer music, pics, and videos. Here's the Here's the link

whats good..ive had the pearl for a long while and its been goin good..but
when I connected my pearl to the comp to upload those free games on the earlier pages, I had some problems. I never used the program from the CD so it was myfirst time installing the program. After I disconnected it:

1. My browser is gone..when I tried resending the service books from the Host Routing Table and did the battery pull it states "Uncaught exception:ApllicationRegistry.waitfor(0xac3ae76327d17f19)tim eout"

2. When I click on Jivetalk (I already purchased it couple months ago) it says "Error starting Jivetalk $2dBlackberry $2dpearl: Module'net_rim_ecmascript' not found"

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Niiiice. I see I'm first. Just held a Curve in my hands today... I think I might switch from my Pearl now... But what happens if a newer and better BB comes out? Ahhh.
"lol, i would have gave u the moon for an entire photo album if i knew."

The Pearl is good if you can cope with with the SureType(TM)

I think the newer Pearls have GPS, you have to pay $10 for Telenav or you can use BB Maps for free.

Might as well, but if you can get the 8300, I'd do the Curve.

The BB Curve on AT&T doesn't have Wifi does it? I'm on AT&T right now and thinking off jumping to t-mobile.

I recently installed a micro SD card into my Curve and I noticed that the battery dies quickly when I choose the option for my Curve to use the SD card. Now, if I want to access the stuff on my SD card, I have to turn the option on, and when I'm done, I have to turn the option off so that my battery doesn't die quickly. Does anyone know how to preserve battery life on the Curve while using an SD card while not having to manually turn the option to use it off and on?

Sounds weird if you ask me. My 8800 handles my SD card good. But I don't use it for much.

there's really no point in having a blackberry if you can't utilize the blackberry's features, such as push email, and bb messenger.

nvm

maybe its just me but i actually prefer the BB Browser instead of Opera Mini, i like on the BB that i could just tap "T" to go to the top of the page and "B" to the bottom. Maybe this browser just needs some getting used to. Plus u can't just switch out of the application, i have to physically exit the browser just to check a text message.

On further thought this browser is :wow:
