Basically to BC's point. Vegeta really only beat a bunch of bums, but cot damn he's my favorite. His story has been more entertaining to follow than Goku's in my opinion. Goku just kept getting stronger that's it. Hes always been just a good guy.

Trunks killed Freeza, Gohan killed Cell, Vegeta took out the fat android boy who put the hands on Goku, and Vegeta killed Nappa.
Hell, Piccolo killed Radditz.
So if we keeping it 100, Goku has done all that training for nothing.
And if we really keeping it 100, everytime Goku uses the spirit bomb, he's technically using the entire universe to help him take someone out.
Goku ain't wont a straight up fight since dragonball.

Let his oldest son know what greatness felt like by gohan handling his lightweight with cell.
Came back from the dead, poker faced vegeta even after he sold his soul to beat goku AND STILL COULDNT, showed off a new transformation, taught his son and his sons homie a new technique and had his original mortal enemy be substitute teacher while he went and checked on his other son and after all that STILL ended up getting his life back without the dragon balls and defeated an ancient evil known throughout the galaxy by finessing people who he hasn't seen since he was a kid to raise their hands and Hercule's D-riding...
And that was just from '89-'96
