Wow just looked it up. They've created an entirely new expanded universe now lol. Are there any other new developments outside of the movie and tv show that I need to know about?

My theory is based on the fact that pikkon was able to dismantle frieza and cell at the same time and of course goku washed pikkon. Think about it, they were all dead so just like goku was able to not tire out from lack of ki, neither was cell and frieza. And to whoever mentioned the cell Jr.'s, goku was tired out from fighting cell...

Pikkon ain't canon. Anything involving Pikkon ain't real. He's as relevant as all those silly filler episodes they had or Bio Broly.

Have yet to watch but I read about the ending. What we all have to realize is that this is Goku's story. Everyone else are just back up singers
Go ahead and just add Broly period to that. Y'all boys love some canonical episodes but be quick throw Broly in a discussion. If we're talking straight canon, then Ssj3 is the pinnacle of super saiyan. All this Ssj god crap isn't canon either

Nah SSJ god is canon. Brody however is not. He doesn't realistically fit anywhere in the story. You mean to tell me they fought Broly just a few days before they fought Cell? Gohan couldn't find it in himself to turn SSJ 2 right there?

It's safe to conclude that if they exist in the manga then SSJ God exists as well. Therefore it is canon. Is that enough for you?

I use to feel the same way back when I was a Gohan stan, but I've come to realize that dragon ball really is a about Goku's journey from monkey boy from the wilderness to the planets greatest fighter to the protector of the universe. The real problem is people like Gohan got time to shine and then it's just snatched and the character regresses ridiculously.

He had been working for like 20 straight years. He went from Dr Slump straight to dragon ball which blew up and kept him working for like 15 straights years. He just wanted to get away from it, he didn't care. GT don't count lol

I feel you fam.. I just feel like they went ahead and did this to gohan and buu who i think its not in the new movie ...due to the fact that they didnt bother making a worthy opponent for those two and focused powering up goku and vegeta lol ... So they took the lazy way and turn them to scrubs or not even show them in the movie

I'm with you man. Gohan went from being the baddest dude of my childhood as ssj2 to being a soft high school student and when they finally turn him back to being that dude it's ruined with him dying and eventually going to back to being a little b*tch. Now they have a chance to redeem theirselves and they keep Gohan a b*tch. People forget that Gohan was actually the secondary protagonist of dragon ball. We saw him grow from being a soft *** kid to being the protector of earth to saiyaman smh.

But I'm not wrong though. As it pertains to the original source material, there is no mention of Beerus or Whis. The Kai's never mentioned it until as of recent. Yes, Toriyama created Beerus and Whis but they are not canon. They aren't in the original 42 volumes, just like Broly or Pikkon even though Toriyama was present for their inception.
