Really had fun with the first episode. That DBZ feeling was there... not like the first time I watch GT..

Enjoyed Trunks and Goten's lil adventure I hope we get to see more of those.. just feels very light-hearted..

It also looks like the BOG will be re-written a bit into a saga? .. not mad but hopefully it only take a few episodes..

This N Goku left his family to train seconds after chichi let him.. :lol: ... didn't even try to get some from her before he goes to king kai.. you know damn well she be wet from all that money lol
 
Just watched the episode

Majin Buu's voice sounds terrible.

Music was perfect though, really capturing the lighthearted mood of the episode, which in turn really felt like classic Dragon Ball. Not as explosive as the first episode of Z was, but there's obviously room for that to happen down the line.

I noticed this in the manga chapter too though, Kibitokai and Old Kai are wondering about a planet disappearing suddenly, are they unaware that there's a God of Destruction in the universe and that destroying planets is his job?

I'm also continually confused by the logic surrounding Gohan. He complains about not having money, yet Videl tells him that he can just wait until he becomes a great professional (assume that means scholar or the like). And she bought him the book, so i'm assuming that she's either got her own job or is using the millions, if not billions, that her dad must have. And she says that it's important for him to study. Since when did studying mean you couldn't get a part time job? I liked Piccolo's reaction though, seemed like he was acknowledging this foolishness along with me.
 
Yeah I'm still kind of confused as to wear battle of the Gods takes place. Maybe it will make sense when the different universe concept is explained more. Or simply they decided to make the characters and concepts of BOG cannon but not the events of the movie? If that is the case They are more than likely going to treat SSG as like the next thing to work for and achieve. Kinda like a plot device. Either way I wasn't disappointed. If this anime is going to have a long run its going to Have to change it up a bit
 
Just watched it with extremely low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It was good, great even.

The only issue I have so far is the glaring plothole of Bills being awake during this time :x

Aren't they re-writing this saiyan god saga? I thought i read somewhere about it...

They may not do the whole you need 6 saiyan to achieve the god form.. Since pan aint around yet..
 
I just watched and I have to admit that I liked it. Does anybody know if these episodes will be aired weekly?

This starts off 6 months after DBZ, while Battle of the Gods is 4 years after DBZ. This series is going to work up to and then through (retell) both movies before finally getting into the new plot.

As Flatbush said though, they're already ******* up on keeping the plot consistent between this and Battle of the Gods so I can definitely see them altering some things.

Yeah, I just checked AniChart and it shows that episode 2 will be on next week so as far as anyone seems to know, this is a weekly series.

Me and my brother watched the first episode, shot was pretty wack... But first episodes are pretty stupid anyway

Tho trunks not being able to decimate that snake in one punch was pretty lame.like this snake had a damn power level of 300k or some bull

Everything in GT was straight garbage. The things that happened on earth (dark dragons) were the worst part of the show.

okay that makes alot more sense now. I watched the episode unsubeb so the small details weren't picked up. As for Bills, yeah he was definitely supposed to be asleep. Maybe we'll get an explanation later on in the show that expalins the subtle differences 
 
Watched it with no dub but it was typical db type cute stuff till the bad guy shows up. Is this a weekly thing?

This. It just doenst feel right, but I'm just accepting it. Even in the dubs they sound funny. Goku's voice is just weird now. Like he's forcing himself to talk deeper cause theres girls around. Vegeta too, he's even worse
