Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

And we get our first not drawn as nice episode

Ep3 is trash. Basically an extended version of the beginning of BOGs

Watched the episode. Have to say if the first two sagas are the first two movies till will get old fast.

According to Akira Toriyama (Source), that's exactly what will be happening.

I agree that it'll get old fast, and I don't even fully understand what purpose the Frieza movie is going to serve for the plot.

i think they will give us enough new material to keep it fresh, especially considering BOG has been out for 2 years and ROF is coming out stateside next month. I'm gonna try and reserve judgement. im excited to see the post BOG material the most. Seeing how vegeta and goku achieve God level on their own is going to be awesome. also glad to see gohan hasn't lost his mystic ability in the theme song at the very least, im sure thats the extent of him flourishing though

They always make Vegeta the punching bag. The creator never liked that character. Everyone just fell in love with the character so he had to include and make his part bigger lol. Vegeta the man tho!

Just rewatched the uncut subbed first 6 episodes of dbz. And to say raditz was sonning piccolo and goku is an understatement . Out of all the wacky and ridiculous things that happen in the db universe I always found it weird that goku didn't fish any of his fam back. From grandpa gohan to his brother and father.

I know. I figured he would've at least wished Gohan back for a day or something. They never even mention it in dbz.
I wish they'd make some sort of special where he actually meets Bardock. Or something. I mean, cmon

Well Gohan comes back for a day in Dragonball

Well yeah, that's Dragonball though. That's before we knew anything about the backstory of Goku etc.
You figure he'd want Gohan to meet Gohan at least once. Idk. I feel like with the dragon balls there's a lot of things they could've just done yknow.
In DBZ I think there's legit one mention of him in the entire show. Say what you want about GT but it actually did a pretty good job of showing all of the people from past episodes that were long forgotten.

Guess he didn't think about that. There's a lot going on in DBZ in a short span of time. The only real big breaks is between the Freeza and Android then Cell and Buu Sagas.

I guess that's true. I meant like between the Cell and Buu sagas, but I guess Goku was too busy being dead for any interesting things to go on.
One of the old video games had Goku meeting Bardock for the first time in like an outer world martial arts tournament. That would've been cool as an episode
