Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

Isn't Monaka just a delivery man?

He said his job he has to look at maps a lot
Might just be a cable guy
Judging by the outfit he was wearing when he got to Beerus place

Interested to see what the new earth in Universe 6 is like
But they said it was similar to earth with the food
nerd.gif

Might need a defender
Since Frost (who might be dead)
Starts wars on weaker planets then buys them for cheap etc etc

Is Frost dead?
I don't even remember him moving when Champa was gonna destroy all the Universe 6 fighters
Vegeta would have been DQ'ed if he killed Frost. Tournament rules. That guy just caught the work from one punch. Shades of Krillin.

It was ultimately HIT who put the beat down and humbling on Frost though.  He was ready to get away with some treasure, but Hit brought him back.

Safe to say that Hit is truly OP?

He can just improve in the middle of battle when he feels the need, taking his time leap from .1-.2-.5 and so forth, eventually improving it to be faster than SSB Kaio Ken x10..

I'm guessing Gohan ain't gonna get his shine lol
Good. He dont deserve it

Do you think we might see Vegeta turn SS3 in Super? I know it's not as strong as SSB but we've never seen him do it. I would assume if he can turn SSB that he can turn SS3.

No. There's zero reason for SS3 at this point and Toriyama's already said previously that he didn't plan on having any of those other SS forms ever appear again.

I just want to see if he can do it. I know all of the villains will be above that at this point but I just want to see it.

Good, they should have stopped at SSJ 2 once they learned how to compress the ascended form down.

All the colors and hair lengths, etc was just extra crap.

Still not a huge fan of turning blue, but whatevs.

im probably the only one but i have no problems with the amount of transformations in DBZ/Super. As long as DBZ ran yall really think it would have been better if we didnt get introduced to a new form after the cell saga? Can you imagine going through all of super with just the regular SSG transformation? Fact of the matter is DBZ has always been a show about showing significant power ups through transformation same goes for a bunch animes. It provided the writers and viewers with an easy way to for their favorite characters to get stronger over shorter periods of time and it keeps us from watching the same damn thing all the time.

Chill, SSJ3 was the goat and still gives me chills when I watch the scene where he transforms for the first time against Fat Buu.

Not even gonna let you slander that one.

Cell was the best by far. Dude was smart and calculated. Frieza was not.
When he absorbed 18 ,that was the scariest creepiest **** I've seen in Dbz it's was said

Vegeta ****** up the game plan then when trunks get murked he wana be all captain hero and **** :smh:

I knew that it would eventually come down to this one day. Dragonball Evolution marked a very painful creative point in my life. To have something with my name on it as the writer be so globally reviled is gut wrenching. To receive hate mail from all over the world is heartbreaking. I spent so many years trying to deflect the blame, but at the end of the day it all comes down to the written word on page and I take full responsibility for what was such a disappointment to so many fans. I did the best I could, but at the end of the day, I ‘dropped the dragon ball.’

I went into the project chasing after a big payday, not as a fan of the franchise but as a businessman taking on an assignment. I have learned that when you go into a creative endeavor without passion you come out with sub-optimal results, and sometimes flat out garbage. So I’m not blaming anyone for Dragonball but myself. As a fanboy of other series, I know what it’s like to have something you love and anticipate be so disappointing.

To all the Dragon Ball fans out there, I sincerely apologize.

I hope I can make it up to you by creating something really cool and entertaining that you will like and that is also something I am passionate about. That’s the only work I do now.

Best,

Ben

Yeah, that movie was utterly disappointing. Business and profits ruin things often, it should of been a director like how star trek got such special treatment. JJ Abrams was a true fan. So someone should of stepped up or they should of sought after the proper producer director.

I was so confused on why that movie was so messed up. I was like how?? How do you mess up on a cool *** concept like Dragon Ball.

I bet they still sending him Death threats to this day.

Probably sent him a Shenron head in the mail

I hope they don't drop the ball on the Ghost in The shell Movie

I always felt like the final fight in Matrix Revolutions was on par with what I'd expect a live action DBZ live action flick to look like.

Wachowski Bros need to take this project on.
