Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

i really interested how things will develop. Is black goku working alone? is he working for someone? Something tells me that this fight coming up with goku and black goku ends up being a sparring match. The preview makes it look like goku gets washed but i dont think thats whats going to happen, i also dont think theres going to be a winner either. somethings gonna happen and black going to leave giving the z fighters some time to train, kinda like cell did for the cell games

i also feel like we're gonna get a surprise out of gohan soon. i rewatched the fight with him in the revival of F arc before responding to rico's claim that goten was stronger than him. dude was really torn up about letting piccolo get wasted by freiza.

Wouldnt mind seeing Gohan atleast get to a SSj3 level
I would prefer that the writers chose to expand more on his mystic aspect. Seems to me that would be an extremely easy way to explain how gohan would be able to achieve god ki and possibly a different god form

Gohan's mystic form is stronger than SS3 and doesn't require any ki expense (from what I remember). No point for him to ever go SS3.

But again, dude is a jabroni. He will never be the GOAT again.

Cats is forgetting that Gohan is a family man, with a job, and a kid he actually raises. All that will prevent him from EVER reaching GOAT status.

Imagine Gohan at Pan's graduation or out to eat with Videl and then just decides to head to Beerus planet or King Kai's to train...you can't. Because it will never happen. And it's that kind of dedication and family neglect that makes Goku and Vegeta great warriors and protectors of Earth.

And speaking of Vegeta, I hope he gets to fight Black. Him and Goku could be like Jada and Styles just going back and forth, taking turns flourishing.

With access to the Room of Spirit and Time there's really no reason that the Z Fighters aren't maxing themselves out, gaining 3 years of training in 3 days. This would leave people with more than enough time to grow stronger for any future threat, while still easily being able to spend time with their families. Though even without that it's not as if being a fighter requires someone to completely ignore his/her family anyways. Them not using the Room of Spirit and Time more just doesn't make much sense if they're going to be training anyways.

ehh. that room puts a lot of strain on your body. There's a reason Goku decided not to go in for a second year in the cell arc. There are more effective training methods. Quality > Quantity with training.

The only reason he and vegeta went in recently for three years before the Universe 6&7 tournament was to specifically master and become more acquainted with their new God ki.

Aren't there psychological side effects to training for prolonged periods of time in the Room Of Spirit and Time?

Any training puts strain on your body. It's no different than the gravity training Vegeta and Goku have taken part in at various other points in the series and still use to this day, as seen with them most recently going into the Room of Spirit and Time for the new tournament.

Goku decided not to go again because he wanted to spend time away from training resting, as he felt he and Gohan had gained all they could from it at that point in time (With Gohan specifically having revealed his aquisition of Super Saiyan 2) which is the equivalent of a normal person taking a day or two off from the gym to recover. That's natural, but doesn't really explain not using the Room itself more. The Room doesn't exact some terrible tole that leaves you in pain for months after the fact. It's normal training and furthermore the person is able to rest inside the room anyways, along with eating as well. It literally provides the best quality and quantity of solo training in the series. The only reason to not go there is if someone is specifically teaching you, which isn't that big of a deal because going there for a year is still only going to cost you a day outside. Hell your teacher could just go in there with you like Goku did for Gohan.

No reason besides plot that the Room isn't used more.

Aren't there psychological side effects to training for prolonged periods of time in the Room Of Spirit and Time?

No.

Whoa whoa whoa, when did Gohan reveal that he could reach SSJ2?

Goku mentions it during Gohan's fight with Cell. That's literally what his entire plan hinges on with Gohan, as it's the reason he chooses to have Gohan fight Cell at all.

It sounds good on the outside that you get 3 years of training in 3 days, but the person inside is getting 3 years of training in 3 years. That would feel like a huge take away from family and friends. Couldn't imagine the fighters would feel like doing that every weekend. Surprised Future Trunks came out sane after a year of straight training with Vegeta.

Ohhh that's what you meant. The way you said it made it sound like Gohan outright said "I've ascended".

Well he never actually knew Vegeta. He might have seen it as getting to know him better.

I'm not saying they need to use it every weekend, but within a given year I don't see any reason to not use it multiple times. Not like Goku and Vegeta don't fly off to train with whoever on any random day anyways. By using the Room of Spirit and Time they could get months of training in in a matter of hours outside. And this is time that they'll again spend gone anyways. Only exception is when they need to be trained by someone specifically who wants them to come to him/her.

Valid points. Just another plot hole in Super. With all that training they'd most likely have to come up with no transformations to show the effect of the training.

And i just thought of this do hybrids get stronger after coming near death or is it pure bloods? Because Gohan should have gotten a power boost after Frieza ****** him up from a sitting position.

I vaguely remember Gohan getting a boost back on Namek during the fight with Frieza, after one of the times when Dende healed him. It may have been Vegeta who noted this, not sure.

As sane as you can be seeing the closest thing you had to a father figure in a pool of his own blood. Lol.

Unless they changed the rules in db super, no one can use the time chamber longer than 2 days
