They don't even need to be in the Time Chamber for 3 consecutive years. Gains can easily be achieved during a 3  or 6 month period. Meaning they can spend maybe 6 to 12 hours of real time in there every couple of real months and get the training they need as opposed to abandoning their families to go off into space and ****.
 
Okay fellas if I watched The Battle of the Gods and Resurrection of F which episode of Super can I start off on?
 
So operating on the assertion that Manga > Anime when it comes to canon...

Just read the newest DBS release. Apparently Vegeta wasn't even at 1/10th of his full strength vs. Hit and was drastically weaker than a base God Goku which is why even in SSB Hit was able to freeze him. Time Skip doesn't work on opponents at an equal or higher level than oneself. 

Im satisfied with that explanation. From the way they describe the difference between Vegeta and Goku's fighting styles I honestly think had Vegeta been tipped off about Time Skip he would've done an even better job than Goku did since he has the higher fight IQ.

Also, Goku never went Kaio-Ken x SSB vs. Hit. So now that makes me wonder... Is that **** even canon?

I want to see a SSB GokuxVegeta fusion. Whis already said together they could probably wash Beerus, but fused? He would literally be da gawd of Universe 7.

Actually, If you go by the Anime, in "Learn to Fuse", Goku states the chamber can only be used two times in a lifetime. Its toward the end

The Time Chamber was modified with people being able to use it for 3 days straight now, instead of just one. Plus, Goku and Vegeta have now both used it at least 3 separate times.

With super it's the other way around. The anime is the main product and the manga is promotional material. The anime story/plot came directly from Toriyama. Although it follows the same general story points, the manga is written by Toyotaro, the same person responsible for the dragon ball heros story line.

It's about source material. For dragon ball and z the animes were both adaptations of the original manga. But for super the manga is an adaptation of the anime. Which is why the anime is considered the source material and is canon

Man I've been saying I want Vegito to come back. Easily the strongest, coolest, and cockiest character in DBZ. Son fought and beat Buu as a piece of chocolate. I think if Beerus or Whis ever really tried to threaten Earth, they'd have to fuse again.
 
Is there a difference in power between fusion methods? The earrings are supposed to be permanent right? So does that mean the result of the fusion is stronger than if two people use the fusion dance which only last 30 minutes?

apparently patora fusion is a more "complete" fusion, whatever that means and makes the result a much more powerful fighter but theres no real way to compare because gogeta has no real feats outside of the movie and any fusion between goku and vegeta will always be stronger than a fusion between goten and trunks.
 
Always assumed that the Potara produced a more powerful result since the fusion itself was permanently joining two beings together. In that scenario they aren't even meant to part again, making it perfect. The Dance however is only temporary, joining them for a brief time before forcibly parting them.
 
Doesn't the fusion dance require the two to be at similar power levels? I think the earring just fuse the persons regardless.

I assume the earring would produce stronger fusions in cases where the two individuals aren't at the same level. One person doesn't have to subdue their power level to match the other (based on Trunks and Goten learning the fusion dance).

i think for the fusion dance to even work the users have to be at the same level at the point of fusion. Meaning any one can fuse with anyone as long as the can raise or lower their ki enough
