Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

Always assumed that the Potara produced a more powerful result since the fusion itself was permanently joining two beings together. In that scenario they aren't even meant to part again, making it perfect. The Dance however is only temporary, joining them for a brief time before forcibly parting them.
Everything here is true, this guy knows his canon.

Doesn't the fusion dance require the two to be at similar power levels? I think the earring just fuse the persons regardless.

I assume the earring would produce stronger fusions in cases where the two individuals aren't at the same level. One person doesn't have to subdue their power level to match the other (based on Trunks and Goten learning the fusion dance).
i think for the fusion dance to even work the users have to be at the same level at the point of fusion. Meaning any one can fuse with anyone as long as the can raise or lower their ki enough
Yeah, it's all about mirroring each other. The lowering/raising of power levels has nothing to do with the final outcome, just with the process.

Was just googling Super rumors and apparently there might be another transformation? Super Saiyan white?

They about to go through all the colors of the spectrum are they

*edit

Also I'm finally all caught up with super. I was :wow: when Vegeta 1 punch knocked out alternate dimension Frieza in his final form and he didn't even have to go Blue :wow:

Showed they really got that much stronger in the hyperbolic time chamber... Hit is crazy strong man

Wouldn't be surprised.

Base form is red..

SS God form blue...

White needs to be like mystic imo and require no ki uptake.

People been going on about this "Super Saiyan White" thing for a while now and how Akira originally wanted that instead of SSB, etc. I'd honestly prefer if they just stuck to the transformations they have at this point.

Black Goku turning Super Saiyan White?

Black Goku turning Super Saiyan White? :nerd:

As mentioned before super Saiyan white isnt a thing. Back when super saiyan God super saiyan was being created Toriyama toyed with the idea of making the hair color for this transformation white. But he scraped it because he thought that the white hair would clash to much with Freizas white (final form) skin. So he made it blue instead.

Wasn't Frieza's new final form GOLD though?

Yup.

But still a part of the fight occurred in his normal final form as well. You've also gotta think of it in a promotional stand point too. Movie posters, commercials, other advertisements and such. So Freiza would appear in more than just the movie and anime which was probably enough for Toriyama to pick blue over white. If that makes sense.

SSJ4 is crap. They legit never explained the mechanics of how he transforms without going Oozaru after he does it the first time, and just make him transform off screen.

Not to mention a little kid magically becomes a grown man during it.

Hate it.

This isnt like the other transformations where once you achieve it, you can go to it and skip the formers, there was a huge difference between 4 and the other 3.

Two people achieved 4 and they established the fact that you have to go Oozaru, control it, then go SSJ4. I for one think its drastic that they just gloss over that going forward, and its evident that they had no answer for it cause Goku would just transform off screen every time.

I hope we see more of Hit. I was a little :rolleyes when Hit's powers kept getting stronger and it didn't even look that hard.

It's one thing if he has done it before but he was making himself stronger for the first time. It shouldn't have been that easy.

I'm starting to re-watch DBZ, after re-watching DB a little while ago. 2 episodes in and :pimp:. A couple things, besides the animation, that Super could learn from DBZ, to bring it to another level.

1) more Roshi.

2) better storytelling and a more natural progression.

3) Goku needs to lose sometimes.

I guess the well could just be running dry.

To me SS2 is the best transformation.

Most definitely.

My favorite technique is the kaioken, and SSJ2 is the best SSJ form IMO

And as much as I hate bringing the herb up, Gohan's mystic unlock might be even better than SSJ to me.

A Mystic goku + kaioken would have been BOSS
