As an end goal, Super Saiyan 2 most definitely received far more development than Super Saiyans 3, 4, God, or Blue. You actually saw some real discussion into the nature of the original Super Saiyan state and the need to move beyond it. Then you saw 3 different routes taken to try accomplishing this, before it finally culminated in Super Saiyan 2. All of this made Gohan's transformation that much more satisfying, because it was basically the final result of the entire Cell Saga (And for Gohan a satisfying end to his character arc that began at the start of Z).

I was a bit surprised Beerus and Whis didnt comment on his earring.

Future Trunks is gonna mess around and end up on Beerus' bad, if he's not already.

I thought she repaired that old time machine so Trunks could go back the first time. If that wasnt the case, how did he go back the first time?

Future Trunks time machine was never broken, with Cell's showing up when Trunks, Krillin, and Gohan discovered it, but nothing ever being done with it.
 
Good episode of Super this week

Ready for them to completely ignore the glaring plothole of Mai being a pretty young woman in Trunks' future
 
So he's gonna possess Mai and have Trunks all in his feels.
 
why didn't they just ask Whis to go back 3 minutes immediately and stop the time machine from blowing up?

Pilaf gang/Team Rocket getting kind of corny.

I've learned Regular Goku is the real enemy here

Fights the most dangerous man in the Future and only goes Super Saiyan.

This is why Frieza came back three times

This is why Cell got so powerful

And another thing Seems like Goku's body was taken over by how Black Goku was saying things like "I'm able to fight you in this body"
 

That scene where Vegeta comes over and tells Trunks "don't give up. We'll find a way"

Man tears real tears right there

It appears the Makaioshin theory is back on the table after this........considering Beerus mentioned that only a "Kaioshin" can hold those rings.  Timebreaker theory is still out there too, but the Makaioshin idea seems to be growing more and more stronger with this new development.
 
Interested to see who the Greek chick with the Potara earings that they show in the intro is. She's obviously going to play a big role in this saga.

And they're really going to have to explain Mai being a young woman in Trunks timeline. Bish is like 65 :lol:. This was her in GT

So I'm guessing trunks blue hair is the equivalent of greying hair. Bullma is old too.

Also Black keeps having recurring heart failure is really cool and creepy. Goku a zombie bodie failing periodically.
 
I mentioned earlier that the pink hair blue hair thing was trunks getting older. Pink hair is showing him as fair haired until he gets older and his hair gets darker. You can use the same reasoning for vegeta's hair and how it was reddish brown when he first appeared and then began to darken as the series progressed. All in all, it's truly an animator preference as to how they interpret a character design. We've seen bulma's hair pink in some instances as well as Dr. Briefs
 
I'm a few episodes behind, so I'm catching up now.... but did I just watch a 10 minute explanation of the order of operations? Smh
