Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

I think we have us a Baby type situation here.

Sidenote, Whis could have rewinded time back 3 minutes before Black got sucked back into the future. Goku could have gone SSB, hit Black with a Kamehameha and ended him. But of course that would make too much sense.

we have no idea how time manipulation really works though. can one time manipulation affect the other? which one takes priority? i really hope super really explains this time manipulation thing more.

Also, trunks mentioned a kaioshin helping him in the fight between him and babidi/dabura. I wonder if that kaioshin has anything to do with Black? and why hasnt that kaioshin explained anything about black to him? especially considering the ring he has and what looks like a patora earring

People hate the Buu Saga but Majin Vegeta was hands down the best character to come out of DBZ.

Buu saga is the best saga in DBZ. It got so ridiculous and anytime I revisit episodes and think about that little monkey boy who wouldn't give his grandpas heirloom to that brief's girl it makes me :wow:

The story of Son Goku is an amazing one and it's still going.

You know something i didnt realize about the Buu saga till like 2 years ago:

Bibidi Babidi Buu

Smh

Vegeta in general was one of the best characters in the franchise. His Majin bit just happened to be an excellent part of a subpar saga in Z.

Subpar?? Gohan has been living a normal life raising his little brother that is spitting image of his father with his mom. His deadbeat dad comes back from the dead for 24hrs and literally all hell breaks loose and everyone dies except for Goku who was dead already and Hercule. In between that Vegeta sells his soul to the devil, Goku shows off Super Saiyan 3 while everyone was still trying to grasp the concept of Ssj2 and he teaches his youngest son and his best friend a dance that has the potential to save the universe.

Greatest saga in anime/ manga history, hands down.

Man Majin Vegeta was so epic

That fight between him and goku was truly a great fight (Even though Goku was holding back)

and that sacrifice he made

Dude we can summarize every arc in the dragon ball franchise, including GT, and many other anime and make them sound awesome by noting the highlights. For me, the Buu Saga dragged on forever due to a combination of poor decisions being made within the story and perhaps an inability to decide on how it should end outside the story. You've got the main villain, who isn't as good as either Frieza or Cell (And particularly repeats Cell's absorbing bit) going up against a total of 4 different opponents who could have beaten him, but didn't for one reason or another, which doesn't nothing to make him any more interesting and instead just makes the heroes look a little dumb. I'll take Frieza being a badass who keeps showing off more and more of his power to make it clear just how hopelessly outmatched our heroes are over Buu relying on our heroes just not taking him out, even though they could. Like I said, it just drags on and on. Gohan became a wimp, which has continued into Super unfortunately, and needed a magic power-up from nowhere to actually make him relevant in a fight again. For Z I thought the comedic elements were at an all time high during the Buu conflict, which just didn't work for me in terms of the story's tone. Gotenks' fight with Super Buu were good, but neither Goten or Kid Trunks were interesting. In the previous arcs I found the final villains interesting, but still enjoyed seeing the side villains as well (Zarbon, Dodoria, Androids 16-18). For the Buu Saga: Didn't care for Babidi, Dabura, or any of those other fighters they had on their side and really I just enjoyed the premises for the Saiyan, Namek, and Cell Sagas more than I did the Buu Saga. I probably enjoyed the Otherworld Tournament before the saga more than the actual saga.

Greatest saga out of all the anime/manga in creation?  **** outta here.

Don't forget the daughter that I'm not even sure will happen anymore, Bulla (Bra)

Thought that was very strange as well, but I'm not sure if I should chalk that up to poor writing or if some foreshadowing is being set up here.

I mentioned earlier that the pink hair blue hair thing was trunks getting older. Pink hair is showing him as fair haired until he gets older and his hair gets darker. You can use the same reasoning for vegeta's hair and how it was reddish brown when he first appeared and then began to darken as the series progressed. All in all, it's truly an animator preference as to how they interpret a character design. We've seen bulma's hair pink in some instances as well as Dr. Briefs

Vegeta's initial anime hair color was a discrepancy caused by the fact that the anime was animating stuff that Toriyama had never clearly designated a color to yet if I'm not mistaken.

I'm pretty sure that the Brief's family hair color is just another inconsistency.

I just looked back and they couldn't even stick to one color for Bulma throughout the franchise, so I wouldn't read too much into it

Y'all so sleep on the buu saga :rolleyes the main ones always talking about how cool Mystic Gohan is too :rolleyes

You had Goku, Gohan and Vegeta go into a ship ready for whatever. So confident they're playing Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who goes first in taking on Babidi's minions. Flames.
