King Kai's Japanese voice actor is trash and completely fails to convey the emotion that the character is visually displaying, creating a disconnect. English Dubbing tends to get a bad rep these days due to how a lot of the characters sound, but I think Dragon Ball is the real standout where every character I can think of sounds just fine and the voices match the characters.

King Kai is a prefect example. His Japanese voice acting is terrible. His tone doesn't change whether he's laughing or yelling.

To be fair Goku got his a** kicked by evey one of those villains during the saga too at one point or another.

Eh, wouldnt' say Cell ever kicked Goku's ***. Goku fought him toe to toe and then gave up for Gohan to take over. Goku himself didn't take any more of a beating than Cell did. Also wouldn't really ever say Buu kicked Goku's ***. Goku gave as good as he got against Kid Buu, backed out for the Spirit Bomb, Vegeta took a beating, and then Goku finished Buu off with the Bomb.

There's a problem when fans of a character take pointing out said character's faults and losses as slander

Where are the good Goku hits in this. From the second Buu starts taking it serious he beats the crap out of Goku

You must have special glasses on that show you a different fight, because we can literally go from minute to minute talking about how even it is. From 12:59 Buu uses his speed and punches Goku, Goku recovers and clashes with Buu in the sky, resulting in a fast-paced exchange of punches. Goku punches Buu in the gut, knees him in the chin, and proceeds to briefly beat on him (In a similar manner to how he beat on Majin Buu way back when) before Buu wraps his tentacle around Goku's neck, after which he returns the favor to Goku. This ends with him knocking Goku a brief distance away. Buu starts to fly/float towards Goku, but gets hit with a powerful Ki blast that reduces him to small pieces. Naturally he reforms, but with his body in the wrong order. He fixes himself and another exchange of blows takes place. Buu gets a few powerful hits on Goku, Goku responds in kind, and this leads to each landing powerful blows on the other that shock them for a while, followed by another furious exchange of blows.

Like I could go on, but i'm really not seeing where the washing is taking place on Goku's part
