Official DragonBall Z Thread. R.I.P Akira Toriyama. You will be missed

But when it's done, the users done. And when goku used it against hit there was like a 10% of it working with major side effects. Who's to say it's going to go off without a hitch next time? It's not going to be something he can count on time after time after time like a transformation.

I mean, that was literally his first time using Kai Ken with that form. I'm sure he can learn to harness it with time and training.

The destructo disc isn't some unstoppable technique. Cell used it against super saiyan 2 Gohan and he caught it and made it disappear.

So there goes that argument.

I brought up the destructo disc twice and you didn't acknowledge either point. The first time was to illustrate How a technique can supersede the users strength.

And my point wasn't to say that the destructo disc is indestructible. My point is even it if was no one would call Krillin the strongest z-fighter. His destructo disk cut off Freizas tail but no ones gonna sit here and argue that Krillin was a match for second form frieza.

And I'm pretty sure that cell/Gohan destructo disc was anime filler but I'll have to check the manga. But I don't want to turn this into another canon vs non canon argument

And if that happens in the future thats fine. The only point im arguing is that right now, where we are in the series with everything considered goku and vegeta are at the same level. That can change in the coming weeks.

I'm excited for the next episode man. Zamasu has that hidden evil persona in him. He'll probably kill that old dude

How sad that Vegeta overtook Goku at one point by getting a head start on Whis training and in the blink of an eye Goku overtakes him again by the time they get to Hit

I love Vegeta. He has that super competitive spirit that is hard not to respect. But his fans are just unrealistic about how good he is.

Even Vegeta knows. Why else would he be training at Whis without telling Goku. Because he knows Goku will be better than him like that. *snaps fingers

im not even a vegeta fan. but like ive been saying the past couple of days, right now in the story they are at the same point.

vegeta went to go train with whis to bridge the power gap that goku gained from the ritual. thats it. goku was GIVEN that power, he was GIVEN god ki. Vegeta got it on his own. And got so strong to the point where goku admitted when he arrived that vegeta may have surpassed him.

whis stated that vegeta was one step behind because of how tightly wound up he was. Name a single point after that where vegeta wasnt completely calm and level headed during a fight? Show me the next time after that training session where vegeta lost his cool? against freiza? in the tournament arc? in any of the fillers up until this point? if whis states youre weaker because "xyz" and vegeta fixes "xyz", why is he still weaker? especially considering kaioken has a low success rate and MASSIVE side effects by gokus own admission.

Goku began developing this technique for eventual use against Beerus. To use it, Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, then simply activates Kaio-ken in addition to it. As Goku has not yet mastered the technique, it has only a 10% chance of working and a 90% chance of killing him. Thus, Goku must maintain an extraordinary amount of focus when activating the technique in order to ensure its success.

this is literally the only thing that puts goku over vegeta, and it has a 90% percent chance of killing and not even working. Let alone all the focus it takes to even use it. Vegeta is a longgggg way from the person that let cell reach his second form. Even with a 10% chance of working you know whats going to happen the second goku has to focus and concentrate?

One of my favorite scenes in Super so far has been when Goku hears about how Vegeta snuck off to train with Whis.

Man that Vegeta punch of GF was in the same movie where Whiz lectured him on being a step behind Goku
laugh.gif
the same lecture where whis said that goku is extra susceptible to a punch JUST like that because he lets his guard too often?

lol going to ignore everything else I said?

Man like I've said many times before we can just ignore the ssb x Kaio Ken thing if you want to ignore it so much

Ssb Vegeta couldn't counter hit once. Goku did that before even transforming into blue.

I don't even know why you want to discount the power up cuz Goku hasn't 'mastered it'

Does it matter. The point is he did it without killing himself.

Goku does not need Kaio Ken x 10 x blue to beat Vegeta. Lol now you guys are just putting Vegeta on a pedestal he has no business being anywhere near.

There's just zero logic in this statement  Since when did Vegeta and Goku make it a point to hit each other up to go and train? They've literally never trained together before Dragon Ball Super. ****, Super starts with Goku off training with King Kai and he doesn't bother to ask Vegeta to tag along at all. Goku also didn't bother to contact any of his friends back on Earth when he was training with Kami. And why should he? Since when were characters required to let other people know they were going off to train? This is that type of logic that makes all the characters involved look worse than they actually are :smh:

Fam you cant just ignore everything that doesnt support your point.

1. Whis said himself that because of Vegetas past fights and having already transformed into SSB he was no where close to full power. Why can you hold on to the whis line from the movie but wont acknowledge that?

Im gonna put this right here again.

2. Vegeta had ZERO info on HIT or time skip. Goku went into that fight knowing hit had time leap AND he was fresh from the start of the battle. recovered and senzu beaned up. Tell me how thats not an advantage?
