Yeah but just in that universe, not zamasu's. And in that time line gokus life was cut short way before his power could even be considered anything special if you remember that there is 11 other universes. Many of which we see have beings far stronger than goku was back then, just from watching the tournament arc. Black and Zamasu seem to have a very specific fixation with goku and something tells me it's got more to do than his status as a fighter.

Black won't be able to progress and grow stronger if he isn't the one to kill Goku. He doesn't care about Zamasu and his revenge for getting washed in a sparring match.

Vegeta was washed, but only at the sacrifice of being yet again the person who had to be shown the enemies trump card, just like at the tournament.

You guys have to fall back on the Goku v Vegeta debate and see it for what it really is. If they wanted Vegeta to win, they would write it in. Goku and Vegeta are evenly matched, it's vegetas lack of awareness and inability to fall back that's gotten him into this trouble. Not his lack of strength.

But let's keep it 100. If they wanted Gohan to have significance in the series at all, they'd write him in, period.

They brought Trunks back after 20 something years of being MIA before they showed Gohan getting any work.

If Vegeta wasn't raging with pride, he wouldn't have got hit with the piercing cut.

Goku is friends with the KOA now. Black is going to get dragged off so Goku can go play hide and seek.

Beerus is a God of destruction, and he doesn't depend on a potara earring.

He also has to stay with his attendant, Whis. Black is in another realm handling dirty work while Zamasu is out making tea somewhere watching him.

If he were a god of destruction, Zamasu would be right there with him.

Black seems like some manifestation created for the sole purpose of Zamasu's vengeance.

Whis and Beerus aren't connected by the earrings. Zamasu and black are. I think theres some link keeping them together, but not to the point where if one dies, the other does also. I don't think he's a god of destruction for that reason.



But then, maybe he will turn out to be.

I think it's also important to emphasize that the battle literally just started. This may not even be the "final" battle or the end of the arc.

I don't necessarily think its an awareness thing that's vegetas problem. Vegetas style of fighting is to go all out. The problem is that's just not always affective when you have no idea what kind of tricks the enemy has up there sleeve. But gokus "wait and see" style isn't doing much to black now either. For all intent and purposes goku getting stabbed the same way that vegeta did would still end this fight.

Son has got the be hands down, the best villain since Vegeta himself. Saiyans make the best villains.

I don't necessarily think its an awareness thing that's vegetas problem. Vegetas style of fighting is to go all out. Now it just seems like they have him going at enemies blindly. Not strategically like when he killed the fat android and watched how he drained energy and used that to his advantage.

If Goku doesn't figure something out (which he will, obviously), it would be a wrap for him too.

Well it's hard to analyze an opponent when you fight the first. See Hit and now SSR Black. Vegeta has always been a brilliant tactician, don't know why they've reversed course.

Toriyama brought trunks back to gain interest in the series. Everyone knows the Future Trunks saga and how popular it was and he wanted to "recreate" that but Gohan as a character is the only one that's actually progressed. You saw him grow from a whiny child to an educated adult. Goten and chibi are still comic relief, no type of growth for them. I feel as though that's why Gohan hasn't been tapped to be a big deal in this new series (yet) because his character is more or less of a period mark for the Z series.

But I'm interested in the God of destruction/Kaioshin theory you guys just threw out. When it was mentioned that the 2 are a pair it was almost as if it were emphasized so it seems as though this is the case now. But it feels like Zamasu had no prior knowledge of Black and his disdain for Goku just happened a few episodes back so how does that reciprocate with Black's agenda? What is Black's true agenda?

In this case though what's there to analyze? Black is just genuinely powerful. As far as we know he's not using a a technique of something that they have to figure out how to beat like Hits time skip. Like I think the problem the z fighters have now that we haven't seen in awhile is that they're literally just not strong enough.

Super Saiyan Blue needs an upgrade.

The King of All should know everything so he has to know about what's going on. I feel like that button is a tracking device as well. If he appears, it won't be because Goku pressed the button it's because he's coming to intervene. I also feel like he's gonna be the one to tell us who Black is and what his endgame is as well...

Who's to say they even finish it though? I'm not saying he cant be the best, but based off what we have right now we dont have enough

Why wouldn't they finish his backstory? They've invested this much time into a character, from bringing Trunks back to the current timeline, to going all the way over to the Kiao world to research him, to note going back to the future to fight him.

You think they'll just wash him and then bounce?

This saga still has a few weeks left in it. and If we don't get answers while he's alive, they'll surely answer the questions when its time for Zamasu to face justice.


I get it, you guys love Cell and Super Buu. But they were far from the "deepest" characters. I mean, Garlic JR has more backstory than them.
